Evidently H-D has changed some things on it's VIN numbers. The only listing I see for a "C" is a 6th digit listing that says about "HDI calibration". If you really want to get a good read on your VIN, you need to go to a Harley Dealer. I don't even trust the banks to get them right. But, for your information, download this PDF file. It's big but it has lots of information about the changes made in 2010. http://onlyharley.net/2010_model.pdf

Fords trouble codes consist of either Obd1 codes for pre 1995 vehicles which consist of two, or three digit numbers and no letters or Obd2 codes for 1996 and newer that consist of a one of 4 letters followed by a three digit number. The only letters used by ford are P C B U. powertrain, chassis, body, and U= network. The format of you code scanner may be incorrect.. so make sure you are using the correct format and get back with me. Good luck

I mean the engine code for the whole engine since I want to replace my old engine. I need to match the two so I don't buy the wrong type or size.

The eighth digit in the vehicle identification number is the code for the engine. Most places will ask for this. Also may ask for the transmission code. This is on a tag that has a lot of three digit numbers and letters on it. It could be in the glove box or trunk. They can give you the numbers to look for.

Instructions
    • 1 Locate the 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) printed on the frame of your motorcycle. This is often stamped onto the right side of the steering head, where the front fork is mounted on the frame. The VIN is also imprinted on a metal tag located on the left side of the frame above the motor.
    • 2 Locate the first character. This letter or numeral represents the country of manufacture. In this case, a "J" for Japan should be present.
    • 3 Locate the second character, "H." This represents the name of the manufacturer, Honda.
    • 4 Locate the third character. This letter or digit represents the vehicle type. Most Honda motorcycles use a "2," which refers to a motorcycle, although "A" or "1" may also be used.
    • 5 Locate the fourth through the eighth characters. These letters and digits are used by each individual manufacturer to identify the model or engine type of the motorcycle. For example: SC57 refers to a CBR1000RR sport bike, while RC040 refers to a CB750F motorcycle.
    • 6 Locate the ninth character. This is a check digit that ensures that no two machines built in the last 30 years will have identical VIN numbers.
    • 7 Locate the 10th character. This letter or digit represents the year the motorcycle was manufactured. A "6" would represent 2006, while a "Y" would represent the year 2000. The letter code descends from "Y" to "A" (1980).
    • 8 Locate the 11th character. This letter or digit represents the specific plant where the motorcycle was manufactured. In this case, "M" refers to the Hamamatsu plant in Japan.
    • 9 Locate the 12th through 17th digits. These are the motorcycle's individual serial numbers.

Hi , There should be a vin# 17 didgets long on the streeting neck. The 10th number is the year. There are several sites that will help you desipher the code. If you have all 17 didgets try this one
http://www.motoverse.com/tools/vin/yamaha.asp

Here is more info and a link. Hope it helps

9th Character - The check digit "character or digit 9" in the sequence of a vehicle identification number (VIN) built beginning with model year 1981 (when the 17 character digit format was established) can best be described as identifying the VIN accuracy.
A check digit shall be part of each vin (since 1981) and shall appear in position nine (9) of the VIN on the vehicle and on any transfer documents containing the vin prepared by the manufacturer to be given to the first owner for purposes other than resale. Thus, the vins of any two vehicles manufactured within a 30 year period shall not be identical. The check digit means a single number or letter "x" used to verify the accuracy of the transcription of the vehicle identification number.
After all other characters in the VIN have been determined by the manufacturer the check digit is calculated by carrying out a mathematical computation specified. This is based on vin position, sample vin, assigned value code, weight factor and multiply assigned value times weight factors. The values are added and the total is divided by 11. The remainder is the check digit number. The correct numeric remainder - zero through nine (0-9) will appear. However, if the remainder is 10 the letter "X" is used to designate the check digit value/number.
10th character- Identifies the model year. For example: 1988(J), 1989(K), 1990(L), 1991(M), 1992(N), 1993(P), 1994(R), 1995(S), 1996(T), 1997(V), 1998(W), 1999(X), 2000(Y)------2001(1), 2002(2), 2003(3), 2004(4), 2005(5), 2006(6), 2007(7), 2008(8)

How can i get the radio code for my car

Retrieve Unlock Codes for Radio and Navigation Devices

Retrieving Your Code:
You can retrieve your code using this website by providing identity verification and vehicle information in a few simple steps.

Information You Will Need (click in the right link):
* Vehicle VIN Number (Vehicle Identification Number)
Every automobile has a unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that contains information about that vehicle. You can find your 17-digit VIN:
  1. At the base of your vehicle's windshield, on the driver's side
  2. On your vehicle's registration
  3. On your insurance statement or proof-of-insurance card
  4. On your Honda Financial Services statement
  5. On new owner surveys or customer satisfaction surveys sent by American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Valid VIN numbers use the letters A-Z and numbers 0-9, except for the letters I, O, and Q. If the VIN is not working properly, check to see if letters and numbers have been accidentally inverted. Make sure the letter O was not entered in place of the number 0. Also, make sure the correct number of characters has been entered.

* Phone Number and Zip Code matching those on file
For security purposes, we verify ownership by comparing the phone number, zip code, and VIN you enter with those we have on file. Unless you have updated these values through Customer Services, the phone number and zip code will be those on file at the time the vehicle was purchased.

* Device Serial Number

There are several places to find your device's serial number:

The Radio/Navigation Code and the device unit's serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. The card is usually placed in the glove box at the time of delivery.

How do I figure out what year model an elsinor CR250ME is?

Motorcycles are different from other vehicles ... the first time they are sold is the "year" they are regardless of year built. If you purchased a new motorcycle today Cinco DeMemayo, 2010 , that was built on September 1, 2008, you have a vehicle that is considered to be a 2010.

How to read a VIN
1st character- Identifies the country in which the vehicle was manufactured.
For example: U.S.A.(1or 4), Canada(2), Mexico(3), Japan(J), Korea(K), England(S), Germany(W), Italy(Z)
2nd character- Identifies the manufacturer. For example; Audi(A),
BMW(B), Buick(4), Cadillac(6), Chevrolet(1), Chrysler(C), Dodge(B),
Ford(F), GM Canada(7), General Motors(G), Honda(H), Jaquar(A), Lincoln(L), Mercedes Benz(D), Mercury(M), Nissan(N), Oldsmobile(3), Pontiac(2or5), Plymouth(P), Saturn(8), Toyota(T), VW(V), Volvo(V).
3rd character- Identifies vehicle type or manufacturing division.
4th to 8th characters- VDS - Vehicle Descriptor Section. These 5 characters occupy positions 4 through 8 of the VIN and may be used by the manufacturer to identify attributes of the vehicle. Identifies vehicle features such as body style, engine type, model, series, etc.
9th Character - The check digit "character or digit 9" in the sequence of a vehicle identification number (VIN) built beginning with model year 1981 (when the 17 character digit format was established) can best be described as identifying the VIN accuracy.
A check digit shall be part of each vin (since 1981) and shall appear in position
nine (9) of the VIN on the vehicle and on any transfer documents containing
the vin prepared by the manufacturer to be given to the first owner for purposes
other than resale. Thus, the VINs of any two vehicles manufactured within a 30
year period shall not be identical. The check digit means a single number or letter
"x" used to verify the accuracy of the transcription of the vehicle identification
number.
After all other characters in the VIN have been determined by the manufacturer
the check digit is calculated by carrying out a mathematical computation
specified. This is based on vin position, sample vin, assigned value code,
weight factor and multiply assigned value times weight factors. The values are added and the total is divided by 11. The remainder is the check digit number.
The correct numeric remainder - zero through nine (0-9) will appear.
However, if the remainder is 10 the letter "X" is used to designate the check
digit value/number.
10th character- Identifies the model year. For example: 1988(J), 1989(K), 1990(L), 1991(M), 1992(N), 1993(P), 1994(R), 1995(S), 1996(T),
1997(V), 1998(W), 1999(X), 2000(Y)------2001(1), 2002(2), 2003(3)
11th character- Identifies the assembly plant for the vehicle.
12th to 17th characters- VIS - Vehicle Identifier Section. The last 8 characters of the VIN are used for the identification a of specific vehicle. The last four characters shall always be numeric. Identifies the sequence of the vehicle for production as it rolled off the manufacturers assembly line.

Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) are used to uniquely identify motor vehicles. Prior to 1980 there was not an accepted standard for these numbers, so different manufacturers used different formats. Modern day VINs consist of 17 characters that do not include the letters I, O or Q.

What year is this motorcycle?

Locate the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)(on the front frame down tube). The 10 (tenth) digit in the VIN indicates the year of manufacture. If the tenth digit is a '5' then it is a 2005. If it is a '4' then is is a 2004, etc. If the tenth digit is a letter it was manufactured before 2000 with Z being a 1999 and back from there.
