This is an overflow tube. When the float in the carb sticks it lets fuel keep going in the carb. A lot of times it is just a small piece of debris. And you can usually hit the bottom of the carb and the float will close. If not take the carb off and remove the screws that hold the float bowl on and clean the float needle valve.

Just had this with mine. it is the fuel vaccum tap located under the fuel tank. 2 mins to replace and a cheap part if you look around. 11 pound from wemoto website.

First off, the bike you listed (2003 Honda CBR 954 RR Fireblade) has a throttle body injection system, so you have no carb, hence no float.

Got spark but seems like no fuel is getting to the carberator

Check fuel system--full fuel tank--check petcock operation--make sure carbs have fuel in them--open and close drains on bottom of carbs If bike has been sitting for a while --carbs may need to be removed and cleaned if you spill fuel be very careful and clean up and vent well before continuing

1990 Kawasaki ZXR 400 fuel coming out of carbs overflow pipes

Hi, Emma-shj and the usual suspects are:
1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
2. Loose float bowl screws.
3. Damaged float bowl o-ring.
4. improper fuel level in the float bowl.
5. Worn or dirty inlet valve or seat.
6. Damaged or leaking float assembly.
7. Particle contamination in inlet fitting cavity.
8. Damaged petcock diaphragm allowing fuel to flow through the vacuum line into the combustion chamber.
9. Contaminated fuel tank.

Bike has been idle for approx 1 yr. Bought new battery and have replaced. Now bike nearly 'catches' but wont start and also petrol leaking badly.

You need to have the carbs cleaned the fuel was probably not been drain from the carburetors and has aged,it turns to a varnish like substance and needs to be cleaned.

96 CBR 600F3 runs for approx 10Min then stalls out.

Check the vacuum pipe from the carbs to the fuel tap, if its gat a pin hole in as you demand more fuel the vacuum loss cuts downthe fuel flow and the bike will stop!

Fuel leaking into crankcase on 2001 Honda CBR 600 F4i, Bike sat for 3 years tank had rusted religned inside of tank and changed fuel pump however when religning tank i filled vent tube so the tank didn't...

it's probably leaking from the carb and down the cylinder into the crankcase.
it is probably due to a stuck float in the carb. take the float bowl off and make sure it is clean. the float can also be full of gas not letting it float up and stop the gas flow. the carb will fill up and leak wherever it can which is likely the case

Fuel leaking out of the crankcase

Sounds like the float is stuck in the carb.. its not really pouring out of the bottom of the cranks case.. its an overflow hose that is routed down through the motor so it will drain out under the bike.

You probably need to pull the carb and clean it, and check the float.

Also have the same bike and have just sorted that problem. Firstly the fuel pipe with the filter goes on the highest bit of fuel valve nearest the tank then the vaccum on the lowest bit. As for stalling when reved i found that the carburretor needle had come off the slide and when you opened throttle the needle never moved when slide and needle replaced and re attached it worked fine.
