Question about kawasaki ZR-7 Motorcycles

1 Answer

I have a ZN7 85, won't start was thinking it was the starter or electronics. the lights turn on but the fuse box for the hazard lights makes a huming sound when the key is turned on. also tested to see if a spark comes out the spark plug when turning it on and it doesn't. What do you think it could be?

Your coil packs under the tank for starters, if you have a humming noise comming from your fuse box, check and replace any bad fuses. also make sure everything is grounded to the body. K.I.S.S. keep is simple stupid, is a mantra that we followed at school, don't take it personally, but start with the most simple things, fuses, gound wires, battery, battery electrolyte fluid, things like that. Also with alot of smaller CC engines those coil packs blow alot.

No hazard lights and no turn signals but every thing else works, HELP? I had a push button start installed the wire is connected into the blue fuse on the side wall just behind the battery, related?

the signals work off of the hazard flasher. the hazards are wired to constant power.if you run a fused wire from the hazard switch to the battery it all should work.
somehow the hazard power source got lost.check that there is not a blown fuse in the fuse box. a starter solenoid draws a good amount of current.they may have blown a small amp fuse looking for a power source.
patching into a fuse box for power is not high caliber work.

I have an 02 kia sportage. my signal lights come on but dont blink outside. no lights for the signal lights come on on the dash at all. also, no hazard lights.

If the 15A HAZARD fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box is OK, power is getting to the hazard function of the flasher unit. Pressing the hzard switch should cause the hazard lights to flash. HOWEVER, there is an electronic time and warning indication system module connected to to the hazard switch lead and that may be affecting things. If the 10A TURN fuse is OK, power is applied to the turn switch (with the engine in START or RUN) and you state you can select a right or left turn. HOWEVER, the RED/WHT and RED/BLU outputs from the flasher unit connect directly to the front and rear turn lamps and the instrument cluster turn indicators so you are not getting any flasher output. Again, that electronic time & warning indication system module could be affecting things

2005 Altima won't start, hear clicking sound coming from fuse box,key stuck in ingintion, won;t turn over, tried to jump start.

the clicking that you hear is coming from the starter relay. sounds like your ignition starter switch or ignition lock cylinder is bad.

The car won't start; lights, ac, radio etc come on but car won't turn over or even click; checked battery cables; put different battery in; still won't start

Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle

All of a sudden my car won't start. The battery is good, lights work It's not clicking like it's trying to start. The engine is okay, the starter usually makes that horrible waahh whiney sound...

it can actually be your starter. many times a bad starter just wont turn at all. it can be that, a short, or the only other thing i can think of would be a blown starter fuse. you can check your fuse box in the engine compartment, it should be like a 50 to 80 amp fuse thats in a little clear box in the fuse section of your fuse compartment. hope this helps. and if fuse is good, you can try poking the starter with a stick and try to start. if it does something after poking it, then its the starter

I have a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker. The turn signals don't work. When I turn on the hazard lights they work. I believe it is the relay fuse for the turn signals. The one I cant find is not located in fuse...

If the lights work with the hazards, your problem is not a fuse. You need what is called a multifunction switch. It is the switch that the directional arm goes into. It can be difficult to replace,

Hope this helps
