Did the actual fuel pump fail or just the fuel pump driver module?

I'd be very suprised if the fuel pump failed, but there is a reliability problem with some of the driver modules. They seem to fail often if they are exposed to water or high humidity. The fuel pump driver module on your bike is located directly under the seat. Maybe BMW will come out with an updated part... time will tell.

Get dealer to replace yours again and ask them to make sure there is no moisture under the driver module when they install it.

My info dispay did not light up, is there a light bulb possibly burnt out or a brightness adjustment?

Is the LCD display readable during the day light or is it completely blank? If it's blank, then The wiring or the circuit board inside is probably shorted. From what I've read these bike have a lot of electrical problems and start on fire quite often.

Hi Wayzach, you could have a hard/dead short that should be easy to find generally they are the easiest. Time to get out your test light and connect it to the power side of the, circuit breaker, relay or the blown fuse receiver, start by tracking the out bound wire towards the ignition switch and beyond if necessary, when the test light quits lighting you are very close to your short. Fuel pump fuse blown, what causes the fuse to burn?

Fuse's burn if a component in a system has an electrical failure wether it be permanent or intermittent or sometime electrical circuits have an electrical surge which can be caused by numerous things and the fuse will burn to protect the circuit. If your fuse is coninuously burning out then you need to do some investigative work. First I would locate the fuel pump relay and remove that then replace the fuse and see if it burns out, second if you can access it try to unplug the wiring to the pump and replace the fuse, third you should check the wiring going to the pump to see if there is damaged wiring. The last thing that may (but unlikely) be the problem would be the ECM that controls the system. If the first three fail you should try and have it properly diagnosed by good shop.

There is probably a fuel relay somewhere in that circuit to, that may be faulty. Check your front drivers side inner fender by shock tower for 3 relays. It should be the middle one.
