On newer model Honda motor cycles.First remove headlight retaining ring. This is held on by the bolts. Take out the bolts and the headlight flips up and out. The Phillips screws are for adjustment only. Pull the trim ring off of the headlight assembly and set it aside. Pull the head lamp out of the headlight shell. Unplug the head lamp from the wiring harness, squeezing the connector and pulling it straight off of the headlight bulb's prongs.Unhook the headlight connector. Just pull it off the headlight. Take off the dust cover. Release the bulb from the head lamp by squeezing the spring pin and swinging it away from the bulb. Pull the old bulb out of the head lamp and discard it.Insert a new headlight bulb into the head lamp and swing the spring pin over it.
---------
On older model Honda motor cycles :--- Locate the headlight bulb socket on the inside of the motorcycle's front fairing, which normally visible in front of the handlebars. Remove the wiring harness from the headlight, squeezing the connector and pulling it off of the socket's prongs. Pull the rubber dust boot off of the headlight bulb socket.Twist the headlight bulb socket counter-clockwise a quarter of a turn to unlock the socket from the headlight assembly. Pull the socket and the headlight bulb out of the headlight assembly. Pull the damaged headlight bulb out of the socket and discard it.Connect a new headlight bulb to the socket. -------------

Dont know how to go about replacing the headlight bulba

We will need more information - car model, year. Generally, you get to the back of the headlight assembly, and turn the connection 90 degrees to remove the bulb from the headlight assembly. Once the bulb is removed from the headlight assembly, you pull out the old bulb, install the new bulb, and reverse the process.

For some vehicles, you have to remove the headlight assembly, on others, you have free access to the back of the headlight assembly.

I need to change the headlights in a 1998 cavalier but I don't know how to take off the cover for the headlights?

You change the bulbs from the back of the composite headlight assembly. Open the hood, turn the bulb connector counterclockwise-about a quarter turn, and pull connector and bulb out. Take old bulb out, put new on on-don't touch the bulb glass with your fingers, body oil may shorten bulb life.

I need instructions on how to change the headlamp bulbs on a 2005 grand marquis. Please help.

To remove first you want to remove the headlight door mounting screws and remove the headlight door. Then you want to remove the 4 retainer ring screws and remove the retainer ring from the headlight. Then you want to pull the headlight bulb forward and detach the wiring connector.

To install you first want to a
ttach the wiring connector to the headlight bulb and place the bulb in position, locating the bulb glass tabs in the positioning slots. Then you will attach the bulb retainer ring to the assembly with the retainer ring screws. Then you will install the headlight door and secure with the screws. Then you will check the headlight bulb aim and adjust as necessary

Let me know if this helps you.

My car 2003 altima I need change light bulb. need know how to remove head light to change the bulb.

You don't have to remove the headlight to change the bulb. The bulb can be removed from the back of the headlight, usually by turning the bezel ring that holds the bulb onto the headlight housing. Just make sure you do not touch the glass part of the bulb while replacing it or it will burn out again fast.

96 camry headlight dont work

Headlights are one of the most important safety features on your car, but they can only do their job if they're properly maintained. It's not just burned out headlights that cause problems; headlights that are dim or incorrectly aligned can also lead to accidents. Fortunately, learning how to repair headlights is something even the least mechanically inclined person can do. When you know how to repair headlights yourself, you can save up to several hundred dollars on mechanic's fees. Here are some tips on how to repair headlights with common problems.

Headlights that don't turn on
If you're headlights aren't working at all, the most likely cause is a burned out bulb. All you need to do to repair the headlights is replace the bulb. If you have plastic lenses, you can take out the old bulb by removing the lens and unscrewing the bulb from the back of the lens. With glass headlights, though, you'll need to replace the whole glass. Since you're buying new bulbs anyway, consider picking up one of the new, brighter types of bulbs, such as the halogen or xenon types.
When you've got your replacement bulb, install it and turn on the lights. If the headlights still don't work, it's a sign of an electrical problem. Because electrical problems are relatively complicated to repair, take your car to a mechanic before you try to do anything else with the headlights.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

I don't know how to take off the head light lens cover on my nissan maxiuma

Probably not a lens cover at all. It's just a 1 piece plastic headlight. It you are wanting to replace a bulb , they go in from the back . Open the hood and you should be able to see where the wires to the bulb go in the back of the headlight.

Changed passenger side headlight bulb, now unable to adjust or align head lights

Changing the bulb should not have affected the housing adjustments.

The bulb is just inserted into the headlight housing. The adjustments on the headlight housing is what adjusts the alignment of the headlights.

Did you maybe not get the bulb not seated correctly in the socket? Or didn't get the socket not seated correctly into the housing?
