How do i fix my signal lights they dont work when i press the switch , also wippers dont turn on. my gauges dont read any activity , all this happend after the key got stuck on the ingnition, we used a lil...

seems that the igniton key lock is the issue. you might have burned the contacts in the ignition switch or the wires that go to it. till you take the cover off the steering column and inspect what is going on with the igniton. there is no way to tell what was damaged. I use to find used parts. you might be able to find a whole steering column which would be a lot easier to replace if you find a lot of stuff is damaged. if you have melted wires that are touching each other you might have blown a couple fuses also. so if you find blown fuses don't just start replacing them. they blew for a reason so inspect for damage first so your car does not start on fire worst case that could happen. if you replace the fuse your just going to keep blowing the fuses if you have a short in the wires.

What is the reason that my 2004 camry igniton switch light won't go off, dome light won't come on

i would be a problem with the little depress button on the door or on the door frame, what make the beep stop when key is in ignition and door open. it also make the internal light and the igniton light go so in dark can see key whole, hope this helps, just to note it may be any of the doors faulty depressor thing, they all have them,

'94 GMC truck ignition stuck

Hi Jane, Your problem may be being caused by the bent key, but you may need to replace the ignition barrel and switch as it too may be defective. The barrel takes the key and at the working end (opposite side to where the key fits) is a rod which fits into the switch which turns the ignition on and off and operates the starter. I'm suspecting that it is either loose (the attachment screw may have become loose) worn or broken. Regards John

1996 chevy blazer will turn over but not start no voltage to coil, tested pink wire it is not hot when key turned on

I would check the ignition fuses. Also, have the igniton control module tested. Could be the camshaft or crankshaft sensor too.

My car wont start, i think its the ignition coil because I have no spark, i have a mitsubishi lancer 92 1.5L, i brought a distributor yesterday as the mechanic I went and spoke to advised me that the coil...

The ignition switch . where you turn the key at. If it has spark and you have checked everything else . When you turn on the key, the dashlights , are supposed to turn on and then go off as you turn further to start the car. If there are no lights lighting as you turn on the key , you may have a faulty igniton switch.

i just had that same prob with mine. My Solution: NEW steering collum / key switch
what was happening was the key would get stuck in the igniton and i had to give it a little tap to get it to relese from the igniton. well, by giving it those taps, it popped a little plastic lever in the collum for the igniton switch. then the car would turn on with the key, but not turn off, i had to do the same thing that you had to do to to turn it off/on.

A steering collum later, and it was fixed
