Ppu code 82616 on a 2003 duece softail can someone tell me what that code means thank you

Hi, Harleymaneddie 82616 is not an error code it is the current PPU (pulses per unit) number that has been downloaded to your ECM and is used to calibrate your speedometer. If you change tire size and or gearing your speedometer will become inaccurate and you need to recalibrate the speedometer, this can be done at your local Harley dealer or you can go online and purchase a calibration tool that is plug n play for around $100 there is a difference between stock EFI calibrations that may be causing some of the speed signal related issues you encounter. The stock calibrations for 2004 & later model years will write a PPU Value to the ECM. The current stock calibrations for 2003 & earlier models do not. The PPU Value is what controls the speed displayed on the speedometer, which in turn controls the turn signal cancellation. If you have downloaded a 2004 & later stock calibration into an ECM it should not be used on a 2003 or earlier motorcycle; the speedometer and turn signals will not function correctly even after updating the VIN and calibration to match the vehicle. Hi, I have a Mac-3200 and need to know where to set the 3 carb. screws at. T, low and high I don't have a manual Thank you. Z-man

Most guys adjust them 'by ear'. Warm up the saw (hopefully you can get it to start), and set the high speed by opening the screw until it sounds like it is 'burbling' at wide open throttle. DO NOT adjust until it is screaming at its highes attainable rpm !!!! If you do, the mixture will be so lean it will damage the saw under repeated heavy load. Leaving it 'burble' at WOT (wide open throttle) will ensure that proper lubrication will be available in the cut. Under load, the burble will disappear and the saw should pull strong and not overheat, damage the piston or score the cylinder wall.

Next set the low speed screw until there is no hesitation in rpm increase when the trigger is pulled. Some suggest setting the low speed first then the high speed so you may have to readjust the high speed once the low speed is done.

The idle screw should be adjusted to where the chain is NOT rotating the guide bar at idle. If it continues to move, the idle is too high.

Transmission whine when cold is not abnormal. Cold fluid does not flow as well as warm fluid, which could cause some whine.

2002 Santa Fe 127174 miles. On hills car slows dwn, rpm is climbing, speed is droping. on steep hills from a dead stop rpm's are 4,000 speed is just below 20mph. have had the fluid flushed twice.

sounds like your transmission is going bad fast. get it checked asap to see if it can still be saved. aamco will take a look at it. if its completely bad, then getting a new transmission might be cheaper than getting the current one fixed so look into that!!

I have 2003 Kia Sorento automatic car, but when the gears are changing from the high gears to the lows gears it delays what are the possible courses. Thanks

I would change tranny filter and fluid first . Run it. If okay you have fixed it. If problem still exists have diagnosis done it may be the speed sensor dirty or needs replaced.

Why does my bike take so long to reach a normal operating temperture? It will keep cutting out until at least 4 miles is reached.

only 4 miles????? thats not bad realy,,after all its darn cold air out there!!,you never start it and let it run up for a fuw minuets before you drive away then? a cold engine will have maximum engine were done to it if driven cold! have you checked the thermostat out? if its stuck open the engine will take longer to warm up,,,but 4 miles???? thats nothing my BMW takes forever to warm up,,,the fan has only ever started up once in 3 years of riding it??? i was sat in a jam up for 30 minuets first with the engine ticking over!!! dont worry it will warm up quicker when the wether warms up

check your tranny fluid and filter. you may have a clog some where or could be low on tranny fluid.
