Black smoke means the fuel mix is too rich. Assuming you have not changed the jetting, I would say the float level is set too high. The only other possibility would be a main jet that has come loose.

SOURCE: I have bought Hero Honda

I've come across this motorcycle and complaint of poor "mileage" several times. There are so many variables to the question it's almost impossible to predict what "mileage you will achieve. Things like a single rider with light gear, riding two up will reduce mileage, running the motorcycle at high speed will reduce mileage, city traffic or open road makes a huge difference even in this motorcycle. You are not helping mileage sitting there with the engine running while in traffic. Your driving habits are you hard on the throttle when you take off from a stop? Sounds as if I'm scolding you but if you are concerned about mileage on this motorcycle then you need to adjust your riding style AND the biggest this with the Honda Hero is its tires. The tires on the Honda Hero are specially designed for that motorcycles performance and mileage, if they are under inflated you will get poor gas mileage. Check your tire pressure or have the dealer do it if you don't have the gauge.

SOURCE: Sir I have a Hero

You did not say if you did any work on the carburettor because it sounds like your problem is there. Firstly make sure that the choke is fully open and the shaft rotates freely. You did not perhaps remove jets in the carb and replace them in the wrong position? Another problem could be the adjustment of the air.fuel mixture screws, but his would affect the performance of the machine as well. If this is an overhead cam engine, and I can't remember if it is, you may have assembled it with the valve timing out one tooth.

SOURCE: Sir, My Hero Honda Super

M-seal obviously isn't the solution in this case; the problem can be in either of two places or both, the oil breather can be blocked and it creates an unnecessary pressure within the lubrication system and due to vibrations and loose screws/bolts the leaks are again obvious. It could be that if you've had excessive or continuous overheating, the seals are damaged too; also this is more of a rarity. You must try to reach those casing bolts in each side and you will probably find some quite loose, tide those bolts accordingly with the appropriate tools, wipe properly the area and monitor the leaks, very often as part of the service, those leaks are fixed but its wise to ask for a quote prior to service. You may be surprised and not be too expensive but with a guaranty.

Hi sir i am pavan can u give suggestion for increase the mileage and pickup of my bike and my bike is 150 old pulsar 2003 or 2004 model

Hi keep one thing in your mind mileage and pickup both are inversely proportional if you try to increase the mileage the pick up will go down if you increase the pickup mileage will go down. Follow the steps to keep the engine in good condition.

Every 2000 kms 1.change the oil 2.clean the spark plugs 3. clean the air filter change if needed. 4. check the clutch plates. 5. check chain play and ride the bike 40 to 60 kms speed max it will increase your mileage.
