U need to inspec harness for issues-theres a currant overload--the fuse shud be burnin instead-is it too high-there r many repair manuals in library and stores

1975 f250 460, not getting juice to coil


On older vehicles the 12 volt DC supplied to the coil comes from the ignition switch. (This is the reason not to turn the ignition switch on with the engine not running for long periods, the constant 12 VDC will burn out a coil). Check for a loose or broken wire. The ignition switch ( on the steering column) should be checked to insure the 12 VDC is getting to the coil.

Constantly replacing igniter, what might be issue


If the igniter is failing frequently the burner may be shooting too much gas on the igniter. check to see if the holes on the burner tube are burned and too large. They should be no larger that about a 16th of an inch if they are much larger then they could be burning out the igniter. It could be you are using the oven frequently . the more you use the oven the shorter life on the igniter.

Unplug the stove as the constant attempted lightings will burn out your ignition sparker.
The most common cause of this problem is from excessive moisture getting into the switch causing an open circuit.
Another cause is a defective ignition system.
Unplug, dry all switches with a hairdryer and let sit for overnight.
Plug in the following day and see is symptom remains.

Gas smell from inside drum


This is caused 95% of the time by a bad igniter, it does not light it constantly and will give this odor.
The igniter light the gas to burn and heat, also make sure that the exhaust going to the outside is not kink or clogged at all this will also cause this problem.

Oven wont stay lit


If you are talking about the little flame that is supposed to be burning at all times then you need to go to a hardware store and purchase a thermocouple. It is a small copper tube that sense's the flame. When working it will constantly burn a pilot flame so that when you turn on the oven it will ignite the gas in the burner. Once the burner is lit it will stay lit until the oven reaches the desired temperature. Replace the THERMOCOUPLE.

After self cleaning, gas oven not working. No error code...just not heating. Broiler and range are ok.

Heater doesn't come on?


The electronic ignition system in a gas furnace is a modern development that allows more reliable performance than standing pilot furnaces, provides energy savings and contributes to better furnace efficiency (AFUE). With a standing pilot, found most commonly on older low efficiency furnaces (55% to 65% AFUE is not uncommon), a small gas flame is always burning and is known in the lexicon of American home repair as a "pilot light". The problem with this type of "analog" ignition is that it wastes energy by constantly burning gas and can sometimes be unreliable. These issues have led to the development of electronic ignition systems for mid to high efficiency furnaces that exceed the U.S. government's established minimum AFUE rating of 78%. The electronic ignition occurs typically in one of two ways:
  • Intermittent Pilot, or
  • Hot Surface Ignition The intermittent pilot system uses an electronically controlled high voltage electrical spark to ignite the gas pilot and then subsequently the main burners, when the thermostat calls for heat.
    The hot surface ignition system uses an electronically controlled resistance heating element not unlike a light bulb filament (and shown in the photo above), to ignite the gas burner.
    It is important to understand some of the other components of a modern furnace that you will encounter depending on the type of high efficiency furnace you have. Why? Because they can also come into play in repairing an electronic ignition furnace when it won't run properly. Let's take a quick review of the types of furnace designs and components found in high efficiency furnaces using electronic ignition.

    Need wiring diagram for kenwood car stereo red positive black neg yellow ground?


    Red wire connects to Acc, yellow wire to constant +12volts , black to car body, ground. Do not connect the yellow thru the igniton switch (Acc). This will burn out your ignition switch.Connect diectly to Batt thru a fuse.
