Tony, i would suggest first thing is to check the plugs and see if they are fouled, or if the front and rear are burning the same. when a diaphram goes bad it will make bike sluggish and not preform well above 1/2 throttle, and it can case bike to possibly foul a plug. so check the plugs first. then if you need more help just ask.

probably old gas or condensation built up in carb or injectors.if carbureated drain float bowl & if you still have old gas in it drain tank close drain screw/bolt refill with premium fuel add fuel cleaner like b12 chemtool or seafoam(7-10$) to a fresh tank of gas...sometimes i just add the b12 chemtool (3-5$)and run it a few miles and it snaps right back to new!

Cannot start my mcculloch mac160s. geting spark. i heard that a diaphram in carb could be suspect. is this common? what else should i look for?

Start with the easy things first, pull the fuel hose from the tank and replace the filter on the end, check the fuel hose up to the carb for cracks or splits, the carb has two diaphrams, a metering diaphram, which controls the amount of fuel in the carb, much like a float bowl on a normal carb, and a pump diaphram, which pulls fuel from the fuel tank, into the carb, these two items have a long service life, if they have aged or the material attacked by the fuel they can become stiff and not work very well, however i think it unlikley that the saw would not actually start, it may run bad, but it should start.

I have an 03 sportster 883 that after starting acts like its not getting any power from the throttle. It will go up to about 10mph very slowly then you can shift to the next gear and it sounds like is...

if it has a diaphram carb the dia.could be split
u may have a missfire-coil, leads or spark plugs may be braking down{run the engine in the dark u may then see sparks from the components] or water in the petrol.

Aprilia habana cutting out and starting problems

Did you clean the pilot & main jets in the carb & set the float height to standard? There is also an over flow in the carb which should stop fuel flooding into the air filter - did you check?
Make sure there are no splits in the fuel pipes & the smaller vacuum pipe that goes from the side of the auto fuel tap, also check pipes connect well
By your description it sounds like the carb is filling very slowly, 1 bowlful would get you around 2 miles & then plug would be dry when trying to start it, leaving it overnight the carb would fill up & flood air filter due to a leaky fuel tap

Is it neccessary to restrict 650 dragstar to 25kw

Orig power is 40 HP (29.2Kw) If that is required, it can be done by restricting top speed, exhaust pipe and/or chokeing the carb abilities but will take the fun out of riding big bikes..

02 Yamaha xvs 650 dragstar classic that misfires when it warms up

First I would change all the spark plugs, and if that didn't make a difference then it sounds like the coil(s) are warming up and breaking down........when it starts to skip take a good pair of pliers with good rubber on them and pull each spark plug wire, when you get to the one that the running doesn't change then I would replace that particular coil
