Never heard of such a problem with this brand. Are you threading in the correct order? Are you threading with the tension off, either by turning the tensions to 0 or by raising the presser foot (I don't know which you need to do in this model) ? Are you using the correct needles, and are they fully seated right way around? Can you provide photos of the serging it's doing now?

For what it's worth, I drive a couple of Jukis -- this is the threading pattern for a 3/4 overlock with one of 'em: and photos of stitch formation:

My first bit of advice is to join a general sergers group on the internet, like the yahoo group "sergers": I think the second bit of advice would be to consider finding a different serger mechanic and/or teacher.

Red thread breaking on Juki654DE

I did a series of photos of threading my 655 a couple of years ago; I bet when you rethread the red position (lower looper), you forgot to unthread the needle eyes first. When you've finished with the red thread, rethread the needles. If you don't, you get caught in the endless cycle of rethreading/breaking/threading.

You might want to join the yahoo groups "sergers" and/or "creativemachine" -- both very helpful with questions like these, and others.

Honda SFX 50 is travelling at a reduced speed than normal. Especially going uphill it does about 15 - 20 mph

start with a new spark plug and clean air filter, then if no better, remove exhaust and look into engine through exhaust port, if there is black carbon build up in the exhaust port remove it with a scraper, don't touch piston, don't let people tell you to cut open the exhaust muffler

Can we repair/replace the lcd of old film cameras? I have an old pentax sfx camera and its lcd does not work.

I just checked my SF-1, and the mirror will go through four cycles while trying to load the film. You should be able to hear the mirror go up and down when you open the back and close it, then turn the camera on. I cannot get my SF-1 to keep the mirror up. Check to see if you have the mode set to bulb, and that the shutter release isn't stuck down - that will keep the mirror up until you release the shutter button or turn the camera off.

Also look carefully inside the lens mount on the side nearest the red dot. at the horizontal spot there is an internal button. It should be at the bottom of the track it runs in, about 1/3 of the way from the screw below the red dot to the lens release button. That moves up when the mirror goes up, and down when it comes down. If it is in the up position, you could perhaps try to gently move it downwards. It definitely moves up and down with the mirror on my SF-1.

Picture has a green hue to it. what could be

This is caused by a inherent defect in the optical block of the TV. This was a common failure and the only way to fix it is to replace the whole optical block which is very expensive( over $1000) and time consuming (need to take apart the whole TV). Sony is aware of this issue but have yet to extend the warranty for this TV. There is a class action pending against Sony because of this failure. You can add your name to the class action lawsuit here:
