This guy has been requesting chat after chat, he doesn't know what he's doing. You can prescribe a solution all day, and he still doesn't get it.

sound like the connector assembly that the two wires hook up at the back of the lite socket may be shorting out on something.. visually look at all the wires going out of the socket and make sure they are not rubbing on or chaffing on any metal surfaces. once you find it, you might get lucky and repair it with some electrical tape...but if any strands are broken you may want to consider cutting and stripping off new ends and install a splice.
