Gear shifter Sticks? The Duece has forward controls on it if I"m not mistaken. Please explain what you mean by 'sticks'. Is the shifting mechanism not free? Or, are you talking about missed shifts?

Hi Ahane_a23, make sure the linkage isn't binding anywhere then remove you shift lever clean and use a light lube before reassembling. Good luck.

My gear shifter gets stuck in park..on my 2008 dodge caliber

All cars have a release button on the shift column for towing. Look for a little square or circle nee your shifter that you can pop the plastic piece off of. Usually you can stick a key or somethin to press the button down and put the car into any gear. I donf know if that helps you for now. You might also wanna make sure you have your foot on the brake when your tryin to put in into gear. Some. Newer carz wont lt you shift out of park unless you are pressing the brake.

1998 arctic cat 300..... hard to shift you have to

I do not know much if anything about an arctic cat but if you have a shifter you have some kind of a transmission and if you need to get it into gear or neutral but cannot do so without rocking the machine or the shifter back and forth a slipping clutch would not likely have anything to do with the problem. You likely should not be trying to shift gears with the clutch engaged and the clutch normally should be FULLY slipping ie completely disengaged when you are shifting. It sounds like you could have sticking shifter linkage parts, worn shifter parts or internal transmission parts, bent shifter forks, worn shifter cam or drum grooves or shifter fork pins or other worn parts or maybe even low or no transmission fluid.

I can't seem to shift in forth gear. Can't find it & the original shift stick has been replced. Is 4th gear all the up to the right or doow on the right? Please help

Hello there
you should look under the cover behind the seat on the floor. There are 4 phillips screws remove the cover and there is a shifter coupler.Look if it has a play (the plastic is worn out) or the little 3mm allen screw bolt is loose. If ok look at the shifter tower bushing.

1994 Nissan Altima. Brake lights are out and can't get the car out of park. heard this is a safety feature. Any way to get around it

you can replace your brake switch, which is located by the pedal, or you can remove a little plastic cover by your shifter, stick a screwdriver in that hole and it will release the lock for your shifter
