The signal lights and hazard flashers work off of separate plug in modules generally easy to get to under the dash behind the steering wheel area. With the blinkers on you can touch the module and feel the clicking inside. Look for a black or blue square boxy looking thing with three or two terminals coming out of it, about the size of a golf ball. One will be for hazards and one for blinkers. Ask at the parts store for the turn signal blinker module and then replace either one first to test to see if it corrects the problem and if it doesn't, put the old module back in place and replace the other with the new one (if they appear identical - interchangeable).

How do I turn off my hazard light in a 2002 eldorado.

What is a hazard switch and where is it located?
The hazard switch allows you to turn on your hazard or emergency flasher lights. When you press the button, all four of your turn signal lights will flash simultaneously. This is a useful way to warn other drivers of potential hazards or to make your vehicle visible during a breakdown, especially at night, and is an important safety feature of any vehicle.

The hazard switch is frequently mounted on the dashboard. Sometimes it is mounted to the steering column or attached to the turn signal switch. The button is marked with one triangle inside another triangle. This part is also commonly referred to as a hazard or emergency flasher switch, hazard or emergency light switch, hazard warning switch, or simply just a flasher switch.

2006 ford f150 2wd turn signal/hazard lights and brake lights not working

Sometimes there are 2 flashers, one for the 4-way emergency and the other for turn signals.

Little confused about brake lights turning on/but not flashing. There is a switch on the brake pedal lever or on the clutch lever depending if it has a manual transmission. This switch often gets hit by the drivers feet and dislodged or broken. If it is broken it can do weird things by routing electric to wrong places. Since you have brake lights it is less likely to be bad but worth a look.

Turn signal stalk. Can break in so many ways. One thing to try is to push the 4-way flasher off and on about 20 times. The internal contacts for the flashers share the emergency function. Using the 4-way button can re-shift the contacts back to normal.

Why doesn't work the signal light on my Chevy Malibu 2003

try the emergency flashers to see if they work and at the same time check all the signal bulbs to make sure they are working. if so then the signal flasher is probably bad and needs replacing. there are 2 units one for the emergency and one for the signal flashers.

What would cause the turn signals to work sometimes and sometimes not ?

A bad flasher relay would do that. They are usually located on the fuse panel and plug into it.

2001 Dodge Ram Headlights won't work, flashers stay on always, all other lights work

Problem should be in the multifunction turn signal assymbly. It controls the headlights, and flasher.

Brake lights and turn signal don't work???

turn on the emergency flashers(e-flashers)if they work check the bulbs at the same time.if this is good then check the fuses.you may have a problem with the turn signal flasher needing replacing.this is a different flasher than that of the e-flasher,looks the same but a different flasher.usually located on or around the fuse panel under the dash.the brake light problem could be a misadjusted switch or a bad switch.the switch is at the base of the brake pedal and has two wires to it.one wire will have power all the time and the other wire will only have power on it when the brake pedal is pushed.if not then the switch will need replacing.check for broken wires at the switch as these sometimes break causing a problem.

Control ?i have a 1997 s10 pick signal flashers ( right and left ) stopped working, fuse replaced no go, all other electrical working ( brakes /emergency flashers etc) what do you suggest mission

The flasher may have gone bad for the turn signal, and there may be a second flasher for the emergency flasher lights. Look and listen for a click of the flasher for the emergency flasher lights. Then, the other flasher is the one to replace.

Good luck on this repair.

Turn signals flash sometimes other times they just light up

replace flasher, or switch with emergency flasher to test.. Should be in with fuses or in that area.
