How do I do that? I disconnected it and the bike would not start.

If the connector has 2 wires, short them together using a paper clip. If it has only one wire, short it to ground. Does it have more than 2 wires? If yes, please get back to me. You may need a new switch.

sorry, I answered too fast on this questions. This is how the system works: 5 switches
    1. kill switch on handlebar
    2. ignition switch
    3. Interlock on clutch handle
    4. Interlock on kickstand
    5. Interlock in transmission

    assume 1, 2, and 3 are closed
    a. kickstand up, trans can be in any gear.
    b. kickstand down, trans must be in neutral. This is what you are asking for, right?

So apparently your trans switch is failing open, and I told you wrong. It's the trans switch that you need to defeat. Does this make better sense? Sorry I confused you.
