How do you replace a 1997 Venture Van power steering belt? Does anyone have a link to the specific steps or can recommend a good online repair manual? Thanks!
Re: POWER STEERING BELT REPLACEMENT 1997 VENTURE VAN
Small chilton book for your car should run about 6 dollars at the parts store ,, its a easy job ,, one belt runs everything and its released by a tensor pulley

power steering pump is located on the front of the engine, standing in front of the car that is on the left side. There is a black cap on top that has a short dipstick on it
Don't see how one would blow the fuse an not the other . The remote function is controlled by the BCM - body control module or vehicle interface . Regardless ,the module an the switch on the steering wheel both energize the horn relay ! Do you know what a relay is an how it works ?
Check the horn relay
Your van has a serpentine belt, it not only operates the power steering, it also operates the alternator, and the water pump.I wouldn't drive it until that belt is on it, it will over heat and do other damage.
