You sure your fuel is good? If it is the only other thing would be bad spark plug or valve timing. Very easy to adjust valves they are probably too loose.

Clog in carburator. clean jets and float valve, also blow out mixture screw opening with spray carb cleaner. Will it run if you have someone spray carb cleaner in the intake when you turn it over? This will verify a clogged carb. make sure you use fresh gas.

SOURCE: there is a good spark good compression clean fuel

Hi there... Here is some food for thought.... If you have good spark, good fuel and compression , check the rectifier, If this is faulty you will get the same symptom's  The rectifier is generally located under the seat and is one of the first things coming off the battery,  ITs primary function is to control the power coming from the battery to supply a steady and cleaner power supply to all electronic components so.. you may have spark but your timing will be either lagged or premature before the spark can ignite it. ITs generally not an expensive part and is usually over looked in most cases like this...

SOURCE: 2003 crf 4 stroke. has compression. no leaks.

The only other possibilities are a plugged exhaust (oh i forgot the wash plug!) or a plugged intake (rag in the carb or intake boot).

Cherokee revs up wont start

Your description is too vague to give specific advise. However, if you are stating that the engine turns over when you turn the key but it wont run, then you want to check a few possibilities. Fuel, Spark, compression. Make sure the engine is getting fuel. Then check for spark at one of the plug wires. Then check cylinder compression. No fuel can be a fuel pump, plugged filter, or pump electrical connection, like pump relay or wires. Spark problem can be ignition coil, coil pack, distributor module, distributor points. Compression can be piston rings, valves, head gasket. This is not everything, but it may help you!

Why wont my chainsaw start

First, pull a compression check, if you get under 115 lbs there is your problem. If the compression is good, use a 3-point spark tester to check the amount of spark. If good, you have fuel delivery issues. Check fuel lines, fuel filter and lastly the carburetor itself.

Wont start

You need to check three things if your car wont start.check the fuel make sure your getting fuel to your engine. If so check to see if you have spark u can do that by taking a spark plug wire off the plug and put a screw driver in it have someone crank your engine and tap the metal part of screwdriver to metal if it sparks your good.the last is compression u need a compression tester to check that.

Won't start, turns over but wont start

Three things are needed for a gas engine to run. Compression, spark, and fuel. I would check in this order. This will narrow the endless possibilities of problem. If compression and spark are good, its a fuel/carburetion problem. Compression and spark testers are available at any local auto parts store. Good luck.

Have a 1985 buick centruy with a 2.5 seems like its loading up with to much fuel wont start.I have spark timing is good, compression good, and changed the temp sensor. tried a different maf sensor(used)...

If you have spark, and the timing is good, you are either not getting enough fuel or there is not enough compression. If you checked the spark from the spark plug wires and got a spark, try changing the spark plugs. The spark from the plugs may be too weak to ignite the fuel.

Have you changed your fuel filter? This is a very common cause of a no start condition. Have your fuel pressure tested to ensure you are getting the correct amount of fuel. Also, you could try replacing your Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Engine turns over but wont start? it has spark! and fuel!

Pull out # 1 spark plug and put back into plug wire, rest on motor block so that end of electrode is against metal. turn motor over and have a finger or compression gauge in # 1 cylinder, check to see if spark occur at same time as compression (compression will blow air past finger or raise gauge). When you say it has fuel do you mean gas tank has fuel? Are you sure fuel is getting to the cylinders? are plugs wet with fuel? Does it turn over but kinda thumps or backfire (Caugh)? Check the spark and compression first. if they don't happen at same time, the timing skipped or belt broke. if all is good pull plugs and inspect, could be flooded (WET) from fuel. either replace or spray with starting fluid and compressed air to dry them. spray starting fluid into air intake if starts then stalls, try again, if same thing happens then you have a fuel problem. try these suggestions first 1/2 hr time table, hopefully sucess, if not it sure indicates fuel.

2003 crf 4 stroke. has compression. no leaks. engine sparking. fuel system fine, plug wet. engine wont start?

Gotta start with the simple things...
How do you know the compression is fine? Since you did not give a compression reading I do not know what method you used to test the compression.
How do you know the fuel system is fine? The plug is wet with what? Could it be water?
How do you know the spark is fine? Have you used a spark tester? Or did yuo use the spark plug on the side of the head? Did you know a bad spark plug can still spark under regular condition but wont spark under compression?

You left out valve timing- its a 4-stroke.
First put in a new plug. Then see if it hits on a prime ( see my tip on diagnosing a small engine).
If you have double checked all the basics and are sure we have fuel, compression, and ignition and it still wont start then check your flywheel key and valve timing.

My 1993 Olds 88 wont start cranks but wont kick over. Fuel prob

3.8 are known for ignition trouble but first use the fuel release valve located on top of engine under a screw cap to see if your getting fuel. It takes 4 things to make engine run fuel spark air and compression. But most likely the Ign control module or crank sensor. So try this
1) check the fuel pressure
2) check for spark
3) compression test
