Question about 1988 Yamaha XV 535 Virago DX
I would suggest getting on ebay and get one that is used. It completely depends on what all is destroyed in the engine. You would probably be better off finding a used engine. You might also go to craiglook.com and you can search the whole United States rather than just your local area. Good Luck!

Frankly its not worth it, if you look around then you can find one complete
etc for less than a motor. I read this and before I did any more after mine
went for the 3rd time, all different reasons, I gave it to the Yamaha dealer.
That way I get a warranty on the repair etc. I am REALLY ****** off with
the poor design, however, I know people with 60,000 miles on the clock,
mine has 22,000 miles. OK I know its 400 Euro.
