I have a 2004 wrf 450 r it runs fine but after about 5 mins the pipe glows red how can I fix it...

Hi, Anonymous a WR is an Enduro bike designed to run flat out that being said if you are strolling down some scenic trail at a slow pace or letting the bike idle for a few minutes your header pipe will turn cherry red, why you ask? It is not a street bike, it is designed for competition and weight is a major factor all necessary components are of the smallest and lightest design necessary to maintain performance under extreme conditions ie. small radiator and inside frame oil reservoir that doesn't get cooled, the majority of your riding needs to be at high speed. I have a Kawasaki zephyr 750 after I cleaned carbs the header glows red after I start it and let it run for a few mins. I put hotter pugs in it last year when I had carb trouble could that be it? (All four...

A hotter plug could cause the piston crown to melt (depending on how much hotter) The reason engine makers give a recommended spark plug is because this grade will give the best performance and efficiency. Try reverting to the correct grade. But the headers glowing red is not unusual as not all header pipes are twin wall tubing.

2007 yamaha yz450f... while riding last week it was backfiring on deceleration. it blew a 5 inch hole in the header pipe. i purchased a new one, cleaned the air filter, changed the oil and put a new spark...

Exhaust leaks near the exhaust port can draw air into pipe on deceleration and detonate any unburnt fuel leaving engine, causing backfire and high temps.
An overly lean fuel mixture on the engine can make decel backfire worse too.

16.5 horse runs great for about 5 min then abruptly dies. wont start for another 20-30 min. fresh fuel, fuel filter & lines and new plug. air filter cleaned also.

sounds like you may have a ground issue.check for loose wires and make sure there are no bare wires that are touching the frame..good luck

I have 2002 f350 that i have to turn glow plugs 8-10 times the is a process of 3x and after 10-20 min it will start

could be 3 things

Firstly you can test the glow plugs if you take them out and connect them to a batery charger if they glow in 5-15 seconds they are fine if they dont then are on there way out sometimes they crack due to being very cold then very hot quickly.

Secondly you may have an air lock in the fuel or fuel pump failure. if you have an air lock you will have to bleed the system through to make sure there is no air in the pipes. let me know if you need me to explain how to do it?

Thirdly air mass meter, although this is unlikely to stop it from starting.

If you dont want to spend any money then I would do both the forementioned things, 99% of the time this is the cause of these faults. and you can do it yourself. let me know if you need anything else?

I need help with carb adjustments.because when im ride around it runs ok and then it dies out of no where or when i stop my right side of my header glows red

Stalling, won't idle, and glowing header pipes are all symptoms of two possible problems: insufficient valve tappet clearance (adjust the valves), and/or plugged up carburetor from sitting (disassemble the carb and clean it).
Adjust the valves, first - and see if that doesn't solve the problem.

Dripping coolant and pipe glowing red

The header pipe will glow red when you run it on choke, during warm up. This is normal while sitting. You shouldn't see that one you start riding it though.
The coolant drip could be just a dirty or failing radiator cap. My bike will push a little out if I completely top it off full. Hope this helps.
