Hi Diana
Don't wish to be condescending to you as i dare say you have opened it a few times in the past, but here is a run down just in case you missed something ,push in ignition key and turn 1/8 turn clockwise. This has to be quite a positive turn to overcome the resistance of the seat catch. This can be eased slightly by applying downward pressure to the rear of the seat immediately above the catch. If you are applying a fair amount of pressure and do not hear the seat catch release then either the inner cable has corroded preventing movement or the catch itself is jamming. If on the other hand there is no resistance when you turn the key then either the cable has snapped (or a nipple come off at either end) or the cable has become disengaged from its fixing on the ignition barrel or the catch or the cable may have stretched sufficiently to prevent proper operation – but I don`t think that is very likely. Have you been able to check the cable fixing and operation on the ignition barrel ? To get access you have to remove the two pieces of plastic trim around the handlebars and the large plastic trim that contains the two small glove boxes. The seat release cable can then be seen on the right-hand side of the barrel. Operating the key will then reveal if that end of the operation is working correctly, i hope this will help you.

Try pushing down on the seat to take the tension off of the seat latch.

Does the key turn freely? There is a cable that runs from the ignition switch to the seat latch. Is the cable still good? When the seat use to open you could feel a little tension when you turned it back. Does it still have the same tension?

I have lost my key, How to open my suzuki access 125 seat with out key?

If you misplaced your key and want to open the seat storage of your Suzuki Access then, you just have to twist the ignition hole that is provided in your scooter and it will unlock your under-seat storage. For more clarification, I have provided a video to to open Suzuki Access125 seat lock, have a look

Burgman 400 trunk seat won't open, how can i get it open?

If the storage area is full you may need to press the rear of the seat down (a fair amount of pressure may be needed) and turn the key at the same time. I suppose that pressure on the cable could cause a trapped lock. This would need someone to fiddle the cable.

I hope this helps.

Whats the correct tyre pressure for my 2001 suzuki burgman an 400 also if by chance i had put 4 bar in the tyre by mistake but only had the scooter on the centre stand have i done any harm

Hi, a 1999-2003 suzuki burgman /an 400 using standard tyre sizes 110/90-13 front is 1'75 bar (25psi)
130/70-13 rear is. 2 bar-(29psi) and 2.8 bar (41psi when carrying a passenger) check the tyre for correct seating on the rim, dont think you have done any harm, the only danger inflating small tyres to a high pressure is you risk blowing it off the rim, as you have now corrected it you should be ok with that, paul
