I have a presser washer Coleman power mate motor. The intake value was stuck. I pulled the head and cleaned the old gas off that had stuck the value open. It runs now but only on half chock. It runs great...

Sounds like the carb needs to be adjusted by someone that knows how to repair engines. Note: if the carb is set too lean, it will damage the engine.

How to start poulan 18 inch wildthing chainsaw

Hello Wade,
There should be starting instructions on back on saw, if not its usually the same for most saws. Fill tank with proper mixed fuel. Add bar and chain oil if necessary. Pull knob out to "start" position. Pull choke all the way out. Prime unit 6 times. Place saw firmly on floor, slide right foot under handle and have left hand firmly on top handle. Pull throttle and lock it in high. Pull rope 4 to 5 times until unit pops. Then, set chock lever on half.(this is usually pushing in half way). Pull rope again 4 to 5 times until unit starts, then after 30 seconds or so push choke knob in to turn choke off. If this procedure doesn't work, give it 10 minutes or so, because unit may be flooded, then try again. Good luck!

Have a 04 yamaha big bear 400. hard to start wont stay running unless chock is on spits and sputters and ocacionaly back fires. when try to throttle it it boggs through intake.

I have an 01, and it started doing this. I don't remember the circumstances. It's just dirty in the carb I think.

1) Check for water in the gas.
2) Turn off the petcock and drain the carb. turn it back on.
3) Try it.
4) Start it with the choke on and put your hand over the air filter hole. Will cause some back flow.
5) Try again.

Worked for me. Might be dirtier on yours, or have mud in it or something.

Husky viprating on tick over and now wont start

I think you are saying it sputters but won't run. Once it attempts to fire open the choke or it may flood. My 359 start:
Cold: pull out choke control, pull starter (usually twice) while listening for attempt to start. Once it fires push choke control in and
continue pulling (usually once more).
Warm: pull out choke control (sets fast idle), push choke control in, pull starter.
Page 19 of my manual.

Once flooded these are a bear to start.
