Put the cover back in place, replace the lost oil, go ride. The stator and rotor are supposed to be in oil.

2003 Honda CB 900 Hornet no oil pressure

Hi, Anonymous you may have a faulty sending unit to check for normal engine oil pressure, make sure the engine oil level is between the add and full marks on the dipstick. Remove the oil pressure sending unit, located on the right engine case, behind the oil filter mounting bracket, and replace/plum/or rig with a known good mechanical gauge that reads 0 to 40/50 lbs. Start the engine and run it until the engine oil reaches the normal operating temperature of 230 degrees. At 1,000 RPM, the oil pressure should be 2 to 4 lbs. at 2,000 RPM the oil pressure should be 30 to 38 lbs.

How to change an alternator on a 2002 falcon

Remove the gas tank and unplug the wires that come from the left engine cover and go up to the wire harness. Remove the bolts for the end of the starter motor and the ones that attach the left engine cover to the engine. Pull the engine cover straight out until the stator coils attached to it are clear of the flywheel. Remove the three screws that attach the stator coils to the engine cover.

Alternator does not work. Oil leaking out of engine.

send me an email and I will send you a copy of the repair manual in .PDF format. chadschloss78@aol.com

the alternator is supposed to have some oil there. there is supposed to be a gasket on the stator cover. check on ebay for a used alternator or you can buy a new one from the dealer, or go check out the one from electrosport. be sure to check the magna forums for lots of great info.
