Question about Suzuki GSX-R 750 W Motorcycles

1 Answer

I got a 1992 gsxr 750 water cooled my problem started replacing my old battery for new one. Supposably the issue was just a old battery But after riding it a couple of times it went off on me n it didn wanna start, I took the battery to get charged n when I put it back in my bike it started fine. Once again I went up to the canyon it got overheated n went off n now I have to the same issue don't wanna start again not Even trying to push start it, before I replace the old battery I jump started with my 01 Honda accord n it worked fine, now that I try there's no response. I talked to a friend n he said the probably killed the computer cause the amps on my car r higher. Is there any reason that what is wrong with it??

Amps should not be the prob ,voltage too high would be .your inital prob is the sharging system.when runing should be at 13.5to14.3

I started my 92 gsxr 750 today and let it idle for a while then I turned it off with the kill switch .but forgot to turn the ignition key off.went in side for about 30 min .then came back out to start it...

By leaving key on you killed battery.Charge up battery and if dosent take charge, need new battery.Motorcycle batteries dont take much to kill, exspecialy if it is more than 3 or 4 yearts old.

1997 gsxr 750...I charge the battery and it starts right up, but dies after about 10 that just a bad battery or something more expensive that i cant afford

Start the bike. Remove the negative battery cable (Don't let it touch anything). If it shuts off, you have a bad alternator. Otherwise, replace the battery.

I have a 05 gsxr 750, replaced battery, now no start.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, try starting with the clutch lever pulled in and / or the sidestand folded up.  Additionally, determine if there is a clicking sound.  If there is, then it would most likely be the starter solenoid.

Good luck and thank yu for asking FixYa.
