If this bike has a coolant jug on right side hidden behind a chrome cover, you can add coolant there by taking that cover off and there should be a rubber plug on top to take out. If no jug, you will probably have to take fuel tank off and fill through radiator cap.

What would cause my '03 Kawasaki 500 vulcan to over heat while riding at 75 mph in 90 degree weather? It's never happen before. The machine only has 2100 miles on it and is mostly rode around the city.

Hi ,
The thermostat may be playing up and will need to be replaced .
Bare in mind that any liquid cooled motor will need the coolant to be replaced and cooling system flushed out on a regular basis especially while riding in city as the engine is constantly in the high temperature .

My vulcan 500 seems to be running only on one cyclinder when cold, but then runs better once it warms up.

Carb is out of adjustment and also may have gotten something in one of the passages and clogged it.

Engine guard

Try the web. Google " motorcycle salvage kawasaki ".
Chances are you will find it there.

Worst case is you have a welding shop make one to fit then have a chrome shop finish it for use.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!
