The lamps for the tach and speedo are mounted into the rear of the instruments in a small rubber socket.

Some disassembly may be required to gain access to the rear of the instrument cluster, but you should be able to see the sockets with a flashlight. The socket is a press fit into the back housing and should pull out fairly easily. There are 3 different part numbers show for the lamp, so you may have to take the bulb out first and try an auto parts store. It is 12V 2 watt. If all else fails, try a BMW bike dealer for the lamps. I would suggest replacement of all the lamps as they usually fail in groups.

Good Luck!

Replace 2007 saturn aura high mount brake light

If its an LED panel, you won't be able to replace the bulbs, you will have to replace the whole unit. That being said, an LED unit should not have burned out in 5 years. I would find someone with an electrical tester first and make sure you have current going to the light before you go ripping anything out or paying $100 for another one. A simple volt meter should work, just unplug the wire harness and test the end coming from the car when you have your foot on the brakes. It should read some current coming from the fuse box. That should at least get you started.

My instrument cluster doesn't light up for my 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse spyder gs 2.4L i know i went to the shop and i think the guy gave me the wrong bulbs so i need to know which bubs or if i just need...

If you can remove the cluster ... light bulbs are fitted to sockets that rotate out of the cluster. A blown bulb usually has smoked glass from the blowout depositing metal on the inside of the bulb.

Try moving a working bulb to the speedo and tachometer, and of course replacing any blown bulbs with the same from a parts store.

If using a new bulb does not work in the speedo/tach, look for a blown fuse in the fuse panel. Look at the two(?) female cluster connectors on the back: remove any green corrosion/dirt with WD40.

If you have a multimeter, trace the speedo/tach circuits from the cluster connectors to the bulbs and hence to ground. There could be a crack in the flex circuit.

If the problem persists, there's a more problematic issue in the wiring harness.

The Tach and speedo lights are connected together. They should both light the moment ignition is switched to "On". The taillight and headlamp's sidelight should also light up at the same time.
If the lights mentioned come on then the problem is at the bulb in the rear of the tach itself.
First try switching the tach and speedo bulbs to confirm that it is the bulb. If not the bulb check wiring.
The grey wire on the connector is the power feed to the bulbs. See that you have 12V on this line The black/white is the earth line for these 2 bulbs and also for the high beam indicator. Connecting 12V to between the black/white and the grey will let the speedo and tach light up.
As for the low beam the white wire on the back of the headlamp supplies power to the low beam. If you have 12V on this line with the handlebar switch set to low beam, then you have a blown low beam filament and the bulb needs replacement. With no power to this line when switched to low beam, check the wire between the switch and headlamp for continuity. I'm assuming the high beam works so if you've still not solved the problem at this point then the switch needs repair or replacing.

Lights bulbs in tach and speedo

The tach and speedo are their own separate unit.  There is no changeable light bulb.  You may want to check your light and instrument fuses.  If those are working, I would remove the outer fairing and check the connections to your tach and speedo.
