Hi, Pete for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. For more information about your issue please visit the website below. Good luck and have a nice day.

SOURCE: What is the proper procedure to bleed the air out

The one man way is to get a small botle( a spice bottle and fill it about a third of the way up. Place a piece of tube (clear preferably)of the proper dimension over your bleeder valve located on caliper. Then open bleed valve and presson brake pedal. If all bubbles escaped thru tube into bottle, then you may repeat untilno bublesremain then tighten bleeder valve. If bubbles remain in hose, close bleeder before releasing brake. This will probably require an assistant. Ensure you keep reservoir from going dry by filling when necessary. Repeat as necessry until all bubbles are gone from brakelines.

Question about 2001 Mazda 626 LX 2.0L L4 Which Brake Shoe goes Where, Longer one front or back and vise versa?

Longer brake shoe goes in the rear, these are called self energizing brakes, this is how it works, the shorter front shoe forces the longer rear shoe into the drum when the brakes are applied reducing needed pressure to apply the brakes, the rear shoe does most of the braking..

Only the front brakes on my 2008 town and country appear to be applying

Have the proportioning valve checked on it. This valve reduces braking power to the rear brakes under hard braking to keep the rear brakes from locking up due to less weight on rear wheels. When malfunctioning it can cause the rears to not apply at all.

Replaced some brake line, rear pads and one rear wheel cylinder. Now no pressure and nothing happening when trying to bleed.

Does the car have ABS ? And does it have an equalizer block for the 4 wheels ?
It sounds like the ABS has been affected, or there is an equalizer block that is stuck on the front wheels only.
Can you open the bleeder or the rear line on the master cyl and get fluid to come out by depressing the pedal ?

Rear brake light will not work when brake pedal is applied, both front and rear brakes run through same sensor front brake applies rear light, but rear brake pedal doesnt. where is the problem?

It sounds like the rear brake pressure switch is bad. The wires for the front brake light switch are wired in parallel to the this switch. Replace the pressure switch in the metal brake line coming from the rear brake master cylinder going to the rear brake caliper.

Good Luck

Does this model brakes front and rear at the same time when we press just front break ?

no ...you have a rear brake pedal to control the rear brake and the front is controlled by a brake lever which supplies 3/4 of all stopping power. Dont ever slam down on the rear brake pedal just apply it gradually.

THE REAR END DIPS WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES. WHAT

Your front brakes are at their limit most likely.

If they dont catch first the rear of the car will squat down.

You may check to see if your car has a dynamic proportioning valve for the front to rear brake bias as well.

Oh...and if it doesnt have adjustable bias....perhaps a front brake line has been pinched. which would do the same thing as raising the rear brake bias.

Does your car seem to take longer to stop? Do you have black dust all over the front wheels? Have you been bahaing over rocks or concrete parking barriers? Or even just run aground on one?

I would say start with the front brakes. Oh and make sure if you have disc brakes front and rear to use the same style pads! Better stopping power in the rear is also a brake biasing condition.

Good luck and be safe!

Car cutting out when applying brakes

It may be that your power assist booster behind the brake master is leaking and when you apply the brakes it robs all your vacuum. Try plugging the hose that goes to the power assist boost and apply the brakes. If the engine stayhs steady thats your problem!
