Where do I find headlight relay switch on a 85 Nissan extended cab p/u

Pretty sure there is no relay for the headlights. There are two 10 amp fuses in the fuse block, one for each side headlight. The power to the fuses is directly off the black fusible link (in your fuse link box, under hood, by the battery). Then the fused wires go into the headlight switch, and with switch on, out to the head lamps.

First check if the fuses have power to them. Hot at all times, so key can be off. If they have power, fuse link is good, so possibly a bad headlight switch or dimmer switch if no headlights..

MY 2004 KIA OPTIMA EX WILL NOT START IF IT SITS FOR A DAY OR SO SOMETHING IS KILLING OR DRAINING MY BATTERY I'VE REPLACED THE BATTERY,THE STARTER,AND THE ALTERNATER IT HAS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM,...

First thing is to perform an amp draw test, not to difficult.Buy a cheap volt/ohm/amp meter and set for dc amps, then disconnect car battery neg cable and attach one lead to neg bat post and the other to neg bat cable. At this point your are measuring current flow out of battery into electrical system. Now pull fuses one at a time while observing current flow, when one of these fuses are pulled you should see a lot less current being drawn, headlamp, cig lighter, heater fan circuit ect.Once the high draw circuit is isolated you can focus your attention on that.A through inspection must now be made to the wiring, components and fixtures of that circuit, much more difficult. If this car has ever been wrecked i would pay close attention to that area.

Headlights? both bulbs good, one headlight only or

You have 1 high beam relay and a lo beam relay located under the hood. You also have 4 fuses under the hood, 2 are for high beam 10 amp and 2 for the low beam 1 is a 20 amp and the other is a 15 amp fuse. Remove the top off the fuse/relay power distribution center and look inside the top. It will tell you the location for each fuse and relay. hope this will help you.

I need to know if the left and right headlights are on separate fuses and, if so, where are they. (2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid)

priest74: yes, your headlights are served on two separate circuits. Left and right use separate fuses. Both are located in the same fuse block which is located in the engine compartment. The box should have the location and amperage of each fuse listed. The headlights I believe are 15 amp circuits.

I'v lost all side lights (including dashboard),but still have headlights/fog/Brake/ ect... checked the fuses all OK, Is there a relay aswl a the fuse? If so, is it in the fusebox, of inline somewhere?...

fuse boxes tent to go faulty on escorts. try manually providing a 12v feed to the dip beam fuse in the fuse box. if the fuse box is faulty then it shuold light up the headlights. columb stalks are also very common on the ford also.

I just wanted to know if you could direct me in the right area

The fuses are located in the under hood fuse box. Remove the cover, on the bottom side of the cover you will see a fuse diagram that will show you the location of the head lamp fuses.

Did the conversion kit include heavier gauge wire for the head lamps.
If not, you will run the risk of melting the original wiring and potentially causing a fire hazard with the 30 amp fuse if something shorts to ground.
If the kit included a 20 amp fuse, you are pushing the circuit to the maximum.
A fuse is intended to protect the wiring and not the component, in this case the headlamp.
The 20 amp fuse will most likely be fine, however I would not recommend the 30 amp.
