Question about 2003 Harley Davidson XLH Sportster 883 Hugger
Has your Sportster got a "ventilated" rotor? A rotor with a lot of holes in the area where the pads contact the disc. If so, you're probably hearing the pads making a noise as they go over the holes. Some people put these pads on for looks others because they keep brake fade down. You can install a solid brake disc and that should eliminate the noise but it's not hurting anything other than being annoying.
