No problem at all. That is what I would put in it if it were my bike. NEVER use synthetic lubricants in the gearbox. Please rate my answer.

Just installed new seals need fork oil capacity and best type to use bike has 4500 miles

Damper oil is traditionally a fairly light grade of straight mineral oil; SAE 20 or 30 is typical but people have their preferences and sometimes with good reason and I have heard of all manner of oils being used from auto transmission fluid to engine oil.

Your bike specs should tell you what oil and how much is recommended for your bike or any motorcycle parts department or repair shop.

Oiler mechanism to bar of ryobi 40cc 10532 18 inch

I get asked this question a lot , im gonna have to make a video on this subject someday .
but here:
1st ck your oil viscosity/SAE it should be 30 and say bar/chain oil
next dump out entire oil tank and wash out with kerosene (you'd be surprised what I seen come out)
then remove bar and chain , locate oil outlet it's in body of saw near adjustment screw , use a small can of air to blow in this port softly , use a touch more of kero to clean this all out , refill tank with proper oil !!!! and run saw (no need to put bar/chain back on yet ) might take several minutes but oil should start to flow out hole !! stop saw and reinstall bar/chain then run again .. fixed !! if no oil comes out ever your oil pump is gonna need some fixing

for a low cost oil I use filtered used motor oil cut down with a dab of kerosene

Dont know what type off oil to put in the bar and chain tank on the chainsaw

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

All Bar oils are SAE 30W non-detergent oil. Go down to the local auto parts supply and buy the cheapest SAE 30W you can find.... SAE 30W is SAE 30W regardless of what brand is on it and for bar oil it is not an issue.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Respected sir, plz tell me which engine oil is best for my CT100 bike

Hi
Any good quality SAE 10W/40 oil up to SF grade or if specified for motorcycles will do fine
Car oil has friction reducing properties which are no good for bike clutches!!

What kind of oil for Honda Hornet 250cc 1997?

Is this your first bike time owning a bike/motorcycle?
Standard motorcycle oil type is SAE10W40 mineral, if you want a much better one use synthtetic oil which are more expensive but does a much better job in maintaining your bike performance.
Word of caution, never ever use an oil with same SAE which are meant for cars, as they will ruin the bike transmission/clutch.
