SOURCE: I need to know the

On the container of 2 cycle oil you buy, it will have a mixing chart. 50:1 (means 50 parts of gas to 1 part of oil) usually uses around 4 ounces of 2 cycle oil to each gallon of gasoline. The other compartment is for bar & chain oil, that is what lubricates the bar & chain.

What goes in a kdx 80 gear oil or 2 stroke oil

Engine oil goes in the gearbox/transmission. Two stroke oil (also know as pre-mix) is mixed with the gas and oil in a separate gas can (to thoroughly mix the pre-mix and gasoline) and then the mix is poured into the fuel tank.

Need to know fuel mix for mcCulloch gladiator 550 petrol hedge trimmer

I don't know the age of this machine, but more and more of the newer units are using a 50:1 mix to satisfy the newest EPA emissions regulations. I suggest using a synthetic or synthetic blend of 2 stroke oil. ....the big box stores sell the oil...Echo one of the best. I would use synthetic and mix it 40:1. Here is a fuel mix chart to show you how many ounces of oil in a gallon of gas that is. If you make a 1/2 gallon batch of fuel mix, just use half of the listed oil amount for the mix.

40:1 is 3.2 ounces of oil in a gallon of gas...or 1.6 ounces of oil in a half-gallon of gas

The standard gas/oil mix is 32 to 1. That means 4 ounces of two stroke engine oil per gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil. Only use two stroke engine oil. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Chainsaw starts but will only run for a short time and then quits

Suggest that you don't use the carburetor cleaner as it disturbs the fuel mix ratio. Use it only with 4-stroke engines. 2-stroke engines depend on the correct quantity and quality of oil mixed with the fuel for engine lubrication--if starved for oil, it will quickly ruin the cylinder wall, piston skirt, and rings. Remove the muffler and spark plug--inspect the cylinder and piston skirt/rings for any severe scoring while pulling the engine through slowly. If ok, check the muffler for plugging while it is off, and check the air cleaner for plugging as well. You didn't state completely what your problem was--help. Hope this helps1

I have a techumseh snow blower 5.5 engine. I need to know what type of fuel it needs. It says on the outside something about a 50:1 oil gas mix and lists some types of oils. Where can I get these oils,...

go to your hardware store and ask for some 2 cycle 50:1 oil, mix that with a gallon of gas and you're good to go. Before you mix, make sure that you read the oil container for it's recommendations! You can purchase a small container of oil that is all measured for 1 gallon of gas

Wht is the gas to oil ratio for a homelite vac

Yours is not a current model and I did not find a manual. The following is an excerpt from a 26cc MightyLite Blower/Vac UT08550/UT08951 "Operator's Manual":
This product is powered by a 2-cycle engine and requires pre-mixing gasoline and 2-cycle lubricant. Pre-mix unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine lubricant in a clean 1 gallon container approved for gasoline.
Recommended fuel: This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline intended for automotive use.
Mix Homelite Premium Exact Mix lubricant with gasoline according to the instructions on the package. If Premium Exact Mix lubricant is not available, use a high quality synthetic 2-cycle engine lubricant, mixed at 2.6 oz. per gallon (US).
Do not use automotive lubricant or 2-cycle outboard lubricant.
NOTE: Premium Exact Mix fuel mix will stay fresh up to 30 days. DO NOT mix quantities larger than usable in a 30 day period.
PREMIUM EXACT MIX (50:1)
GasolineLubricant
1 gallon (US) 2.6 oz.
1 Liter 20 cc (20 ml)

1 quart fuel:3/4 ounces of oil = 1 Gallon fuel:3 ounces of oil or slightly less than 43:1. Not what a current manual recommends.

If properly adjusted your blower will operate fine on 50:1 regardless of what the manual reads. HTH

Need to know oil to gas mix ratio for Craftsman 32cc, 360 cfm, 170 mph blower vac? Can someone provide ratio?

40:1 is the standard mix. Go buy one of the little containers ( 3.2 ounces) of 2-cycle oil and mix it with a gallon of gas in an approved container (like a gas can). How you mix it is, pour some gas in the container...about 1/4 of the gallon, then pour in the oil, mix well, by shaking the can then add the remaining gasoline and PRESTO, you have a 40:1 mix!
