If bike has been sitting you will most likely need the carbs cleaned. this is the most common problem with bikes that have been sitting around for as little as a month or two. if you have not tried it yet you may want to try a new set of plugs just to make sure before you go through the trouble with the carbs. if you need more help just ask. thanks

Why does my bike misfire at low revs itsok above 3000rpm ive cleaned out the carbs and the jets are all clean

look at float bowl inlet- likely its letting too much fuel in that at low RPM the engine floods and sputters.. at higher speed the bike can use the leaking fuel thus no misfire.. Check timing.. check if your heads are carboned up

Sputtering at low rpm ttr230

Run some carb cleaner through the tank. "Seafoam" has a real following. It could be that the jets are crudded up, especially if your bike sat some over the winter.

2011 Honda Activa engine sputters at low speed.

Hi, Tathagata and the usual suspects are:
1. Installation of a different camshaft.
2. Different exhaust system or "STRAIGHT PIPES"
3. Faulty advance curve.
4. Multiple carburetors not in sync.
5. Improperly installed jet kit or wrong kit.
6. Carburetor internal malfunction.
7. Fuel mixture too rich.
8. Fuel mixture too lean.
9. Extremely dirty air filter.

I put a cometic headgasket on upside down in my sons 2005 cr85r

the rejeting of the bike is most likly the cause of the sputtering. Maybe the size of the jet doesnt suit the altitude check to see that the jet is not too big.

Hi Kmeyer6595, and the usual suspects are:
1. Idle speed improperly adjusted.
2. Intake manifold air leak.
3. Loose low speed jet.
4. Contaminated or plugged low speed system.
5. Enrichner valve not seated or leaking.
6. Leaking accelerator pump.
Good luck and have nice day.

2003 night train fxstbi starts fine but sputters at low speeds.

It sounds like it's running a tad lean on the low speed circuit. Since it's fuel injected, you'll have to take it to a dealer or maybe an aftermarket shop to have them check the computer's fuel map setting.

Sputtering at low speeds and takeoff

your low speed jets are stopped up ,the carbs need cleaning, go to walmart a buy some SEAFOAM, poor it in your gas tank ,start it up on choke, and when it start ot clear up take it off of choke, or ride it until it clears up. after it starts running good get it synchronized
