You can purchase custom brake lines from Spiegler. Just have to measure the length that you need and tell them what fittings you want installed.

See website for Spiegler

How do i raise the handlebars on the gt 3.0

Most bicycles have adjustable handlebar risers. Just loosen the center riser bolt 4 or 5 turns (you may have to use a mallet or hammer to break loose the draw nut from the neck) then raise it up "no higher than the max line indicator". If you still need it higher search for an extended riser or more suitable handlebars.

Handlebar risers bushing replacement

It's not too hard. Take out the old ones, put new ones in, I suggest some plastic tie wraps to hold the bars near the approximate spot while you're fiddling. You don't need to remove cables or anything, if that's what you're thinking.

Handle bar instalation riser bushains on a 1970 flh

The handlebar riser bushings are made of rubber sandwiched between to metal tubes. They are a loose press fit in the upper triple tree. Measure the depth of the old bushings, drive them out, and then drive the new ones in. If you don't want to go that route, you can get "change over" kits to change them to more like the later model bushings or to solid bushings that have no give at all. Check with a V-Twin dealer for the parts you need.

What size apes can I put on w-out replacing cables

You're going to run into problems other than just the cables. All handlebar wiring is going to be too short and the front brake line as well. You can usually come up about three inches at the most from standard risers to tall risers, 3 1/2" to 4" risers. One other thing that you must keep in mind when changing H-bars, not only the height but the width as well. If you're going to change H-bars, plan on lengthening all wiring and replacing cables and the brake hose.

Good Luck

Where online can I get the handle bar risers? what is the searchable name for them?

The searchable name (as far as I know is) handlebar risers. As for where to get them, you can get them from various places online. Depends what and where you want to buy from (i.e. US, Canada, Europe, Japan)
Here's a handy google search:

They are called clip-ons, and there is a company called LSL that makes conversions to handlebars and riser kits. i know StreetfightersByDesign is a dealer, but you can check on Google by searching "LSL handlebar"to find other sites. One word, though, i don't think they are cheap.

Can I install 4" kickback riser under the handlebar

Just make sure the cables are not binding or too short.
Replacing the risers are pretty straight forward.
Remove the four hold down bolts then remove the stock risers. Towel will help here to prevent handle bars from scratching the tank. Helps to have the front wheel straight before starting this process. Install the new risers using the hardware supplied. Be sure to check clutch and throttle for binding BEFORE riding.
If they bind and prevent easy operation you may have to purchase extension cables. Be sure to torque the 4 bolts that hold down the handle bars properly. After a few trips check and tighten again to the proper torque settings. Installed the Baron kick back risers on my 1100 and it took a few trips to get use too.
After that wouldn't take anything for them! Sitting higher and not all slumped over. Nice looking too!

Good luck!
Hope this Helps!

hi dennis. firstly there ain't no extra inside the headlight. it's very tight in there. remove the light using small phillips screws on either side. (dang what a mess)
you can slip off your old handlebar controls no problem, loosen them up before removing the riser clamps, then you can easily slip them off as you can move the bars to do so. slip controls on new bars and try mounting, if wires are too tight you will have to find them in the headlight and extend them.

You should be able to make pretty much any bar you want fit as long as you're willing to replace the cables and possibly the risers. According to the website they fit the FXD.
