7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.

Have put new fuel pump on ,cleaned carb, new plug, gets gas plug fires but won't start, checked compression at98# don't know what else to do .

The battery voltage on a Suzuki I had would drop low enough during cranking with the electric starter motor not allowing the spark to be strong enough to run, the voltage regulator also didn't function correctly once and as the battery voltage dropped during operation engine would start to bog down and cut out due to low voltage for the ignition system.

Does the lights on dash go out after click? if so check battery fo lose cables. if lights stay on, posible starter. or locked eng.need to turn eng. one full turn from crank shaft. but disconect battery first. if eng turns starter is bad.

Wr450 starts on the kick not the button, it will turn over but not fire.

10.5 volts is enough; the problem is more likely in the contact switch, too high of a resistance. Find out which wire gets the 12V on the cdi and make a temp wire direct from the battery. If it starts then the contact switch is the problem. Solution is a relay in between to feed the cdi directly from the battery or a new contact switch. Start is while jumping the battery from a car battery, makes sure it indeed starts.
