No, look on the bottom of the oil tank for the right side of the bike. There's a large diameter hose that come off the bottom of the tank and down and back behind the transmission. It follows the frame downward and comes out at the bottom of the frame behind the exhaust pipes. There is a plug in the hose. Remove the plug to drain the oil. Harley moved the drain to the bottom of the crossmember of the frame underneath the bike but I'm not sure of what year they did it.

Good Luck

How to drain a2005 f 150 gas tank, bad fuel

The best way to drain the tank would be by removing the filler neck hose going to the tank and then using a small hose to insert into the tank going into the neck.the reason for a small hose or a piece of metal line like a brake line and then slide a long piece of rubber hose over the line about one foot and clamp it tight to line, the next step is to one; put a slice or small cut about 3 inches from the end of the rubber hose and if you have an air nozzle push it into cut on line and blow air into it, this will make vacuum and fuel will start to flow out of hose.
With out an air nozzle you will have to **** on end of hose to get it to flow,CAUTION DONT GET GAS IN MOUTH!!!!!.With the metal line you will need to get it past the ball in the neck of tank, this is the reason i said to use a small metal line, you will need to bend it and move around to get past ball. slide into tank to hit bottom. DONT MARK SPARKS!!,
The other way is to drop tank and remove the fuel pump assm and then drain threw the top hole that pump sits into. hope this is helpful. good day.

How do i change my oil in my 1999 Harley fatboy

From the right side of your bike, look for a large hose coming out of the backside of the oil tank at it's lowest point. Follow the hose down behind the transmission on down to a clip on the lower tube of the frame behind the exhaust pipes. There is a metal plug in the hose. Simply take the hose out of the clip and reroute it below the frame. Remove the plug and the oil tank filler cap and the oil will drain out. Refill with three quarts of 20W50 oil.

Good Luck

Var sitter olje pluggarna för

Look on the bottom of the oil tank from the right side of the motorcycle. You will see a large diameter hose or pipe that goes down behind the transmission. Follow the hose on down and it end down at the lower part of the frame behind the exhaust pipes. There is usually a plug in the end of a rubber hose or the hose connects to a crossmember on the frame. Remove the metal plug from the hose to drain the oil. If the hose connects to the crossmember, there is a drain plug underneath the motorcycle that screws up into the crossmember of the frame.

The engine take 3 US quarts of 20W50 oil that is rated for DIESEL engine use.

I hope this helps. Good Luck and Best wishes to you and yours.

Locating oil drain plug 2000 heitage softail?

Look at the oil tank from the right side down near the lower rear. You should see a hose going down behind the transmission. It goes on down to the lower tube on the frame behind the exhaust system. There is a metal plug in the line. Remove the plug to drain the oil.

The hose may run from the tank down to a crossmember of the frame where the shocks connect. If so, there is a plug screwed up from the bottom of the crossmember. I don't know what year they changed.

Good Luck

Cant find oil drain plug on 2000 flstc

From the right hand side of the bike. look at the bottom of the oil tank. There is a large hose or pipe going down behind the transmission and coming out below the transmission behind the exhaust system. Follow this hose to the end and you'll find a plug in it. Remove the plug to drain the oil. Now, Harley ran the hose to a crossmember of the frame in the same area and the plug screws in from underneath the bike. I don't know what year they made this change but the drain is located at the end of the large hose under the transmission.

Good Luck

Want to change the oil and filter on my 1999 flstc

The oil drain is a large diameter hose with a metal plug in it. It runs down along the backside of the frame just behind the transmission on the right hand side of the bike. There is a metal clip welded onto the frame to hold the hose. Take the hose out of the clip, remove the plug, and drain the oil tank. Refill with three quarts of oil

The transmission drain is a small 1/8" pipe plug that takes a Torx wrench to remove. It is located on the right side of the transmisson just below the chrome clutch release cover. The tranny takes 20-24 ounces of H-D trans lube or Syn3 oil. The transmission fills through the large hole in the top of the chrome clutch release cover. It takes a 7/16" hex key to remove the plug, It has a dipstick on the plug.

Changing fluids

Trans plug is under the Primary cover ( Left side ) and the Oil line is under the frame on the left side. Look for a oil line with a plug attatched to it. Run the bike up to operating temp. Primary and trans are the same thing ( Sport Trans fluid ) 1Qt in the primary ( fill throught the little cover on the side of the primary, and fill the oil through the oil tank. Put a little oil in the filter too, before installing, this will give the motor a little bit of oil until the rest of it makes it way through. You'll also need 1 p/n 11105 for the drain plug on the primary.

Gas line is leaking very close to tank. The leak is at the joint where the metal pipe coming from tank meets a rubber hose that runs to filter. It seems to be leaking right at this joint which seems to...

You want to be very careful not to make any sparks while working on this. The obvious is smoking, banging metal tools around, etc. keep cell phones AWAY from the area. Pick up some rubber fuel line from the parts store. Be prepared for some gas leakage, have a plastic pan under the leak. Disconnect the line at the tank, have a piece of new hose ready to push on over the line to as close to the tank as you can, have the end away from the tank plugged up temporarily with a pencil or something that fits snug in it, then remove the rubber hose on the filter, and connect new line from tank to filter, check for leaks, hopefully it is the rubber line you replaced, or the end of the metal line, so the new hose will hopefully cover the corroded leaking area. Clamp and Dry off area and see if you can spot any leaks.

I just filled my tank on a 1990 grand voyager and my fuel pump went. How do I drain the tank to drop it?

I think on the rear of the tank there is a line coming down with a rubber cap on it. You can drain it though this line. Take off the cap and hook up a hose to it. Then take a air blow nozzle and blow next to the hose so the air rushing by the end of the hose will **** the gas from the hose. When it starts flowing, drain it into gascans or buckets. If you can't find the line, you should be able to do the same thing on the return line to the engine.
