Question about Harley Davidson FLHTC Electra Glide Classic Motorcycles
If you can hear your starter running and the engine is not turning over, the problem is your starter. Specifically, the "overrunning clutch" is bad in the starter. If you are mechanically inclined and have the tools to take the starter off your bike, you can repair this yourself and save some money. If not, you'd be better just to have the shop replace the entire starter. The time involved in disassembling the starter, replacing the clutch, and reassembly will eat up any savings you had recognized by repairing the starter.
Good Luck
