The click means your starter button is working. Follow the positive cable to the solenoid. Now jump the battery cable to the starter cable, if the starter turns over, you have a bad solenoid. If this does not work, hold the starter button and gently tap on the starter with a plastic hammer. If the starter works now you have bad starter brushes. If you open the starter and the coils are burnt or the armature is shorted you will have to replace the starter assembly.

Yamaha warrior 350 won't turn over

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
10. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
11. Check for engine trouble codes.

Jake, if your ignition is electronic, you may not have enough system voltage to run the starter and the ignition at the same time.
Try with a jump from another vehicle. Likely it will start.
Try bringing the battery to a full and complete charge, water up first,
then retest starting. Some units just have to have a perfect battery and state of charge.

Four wheeler wont start. it just clicks

if the 4-wheeler is just clicking when you try and start -- this is a good indicator that the voltage is not high enough to activate the starter,, and the sound that you hear is the solenoid clicking.
try and jump the four wheeler battery with a car battery,, this should give it the power it needs to turn over. as soon as you have the ATV running - ride it around for awhile and let it run and charge the battery, there is also a chance that the battery is going bad and it may be time to buy a new one,, also make sure the generator on the ATV is charging the battery at a voltage of 13.6 to 14.4 volts DC. IF jumping the battery still does not start the machine and it still just 'clicks',, then the solenoid itself could be at fault -- replace it and then try and start..
(( use a bench charger to fully charge the battery and re-install into the ATV and you should be back on the trail in no time at all )).

My car sounds like the battery is dead it makes a clicking sound when i try starting it.the selinoid i think could be the problem so i was needing to know how the selinoid is put together

The clicking is most likely the selonid.
It is usually mounted on the inner fender of a ford close to the Battery. It's an easy cheap fix.
If the seleniod doesn't get it with a fully charged battery, you should check the starter and battery cable connections

Good Luck
