Sounds like it is running lean on one side. clean carbs, paying special attention to clean jets properly. Low float level may be a problem as well

You need to take your carburetor off and give it a good cleaning and adjust the float and mixture screws. Do this before you melt a hole in the piston.

Yz450f overheating

Hi, Anonymous a YZ is a motocross bike designed to run flat out that being said if you are strolling down some scenic trail at a slow pace or letting the bike idle for a few minutes your header pipe will turn cherry red, why you ask? It is not a street bike, it is designed for competition and weight is a major factor all necessary components are of the smallest and lightest design necessary to maintain performance under extreme conditions ie. small radiator and inside frame oil reservoir that doesn't get cooled, the majority of your riding needs to be at high speed. I need help with carb adjustments.because when im ride around it runs ok and then it dies out of no where or when i stop my right side of my header glows red

Stalling, won't idle, and glowing header pipes are all symptoms of two possible problems: insufficient valve tappet clearance (adjust the valves), and/or plugged up carburetor from sitting (disassemble the carb and clean it).
Adjust the valves, first - and see if that doesn't solve the problem.

Immediate overheating... with in 1 to 2 minutes of warm up... bad enough to make the header pipe glow red.

It sounds like the fuel mixture is running extremely lean for some reason. Disassemble the carb and clean out the jets. Inspect any rubber parts between the carb and the intake. Make sure the intake manifold doesn't have an air leak.

Catalyst converter or no catalyst coverter\for 1995 jeep 4.0 str6

No it doesn't hurt anything but the environment and the smog polices feelings. Power improvements from a free flowing pipe. no additional power going bigger except for more noise which might make you think it is faster
