Try cleaning the two position switch. It's called the starter button. You push it in halfway and the headlight turns off to allow for more juice to go to the starter. Push it in all the way and it activates the starter solenoid. It is probably either dirty or broken.

SOURCE: what coolant do I put in the reservoir for a Honda

Honda pro makes a coolant and it is recommended to continue with the manufactors coolant due to additives that may or may not be in place for that brand of bike. You can purchase that from a varity of online sources or at your local honda dealer.

SOURCE: I noticed what appeared to be oil leaking from the

The first thing to do is determine if the oil is motor oil or gear oil. If the oil is leaking from the final drive end( gear oil ) it will have to be removed and inspected for bearing wear and have the seal replaced. If the oil is leaking from the motor and then running down the swingarm, the final drive and swingarm will have to be removed to replace the output shaft seal.
Thanks and I hope that this helps.

My odometer is showing KMs and the speedometer is showing twice the speed on my 2006 Pontiac G6

There is a setting in the driver information panel for English or Metric units. Change this to English and you will see MPH on Speedometer and Miles on Odometer.

2006 Honda VT 750 Shadow Aero owners manual

Hi, Mihcorin the vast majority of service, parts fiche, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee around $10 and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available, for these rare occasions I shall look on eBay and find the cheapest one available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. If there is no $ sign after the manual link it is free to download for viewing or printing.

My speedometer intermittently fails to operate properly. Sometimes when I am idling it says I am going 20 MPH and it may stay there when I am doing 60. When the speedo malfunctions the odometer also...

loose connections would not cause it to stay at 20 when your going zero. i think something is stuck and the needle isnt moving freely. sometimes the sticker that have the numbers on it can fall away from the cluster and rub on the needle that why sometimes when you apply pressure to the trip reset it will work. the needle and odometer are also connected so once you fix the needle the odometer will work again. i would take the cover off the cluster and move the needle with your finger and feel if it sticks any where. if it is the sticker just drop a little sper glue down there, move the neelde forward and hold it down till it drys. if nothing appears to be holding it i would blow a can of air in by center of the needle to get any debris out of there.

Speedometer/Odometer is off about 10%, 2006 Jetta, 2.5

I have a 2006 and a 2004 Jetta - the '06 is off by 4 mph and the '04 is off by 2 mph - differences calcuated by multiple GPS units in the cars for testing.

Apparently I took the easy way out and bought larger tires to compensate for the speedo difference. My '04 now matches my GPS mph and my '06 is off by just .5 mph.

Go to http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?action=submit and compare the OEM size to larger size tires - this will tell you, in MPH, the difference between the tires. Figure out how much your speedometer is off, go to this web site and find a tire that will be "faster" than the OEM that is equal or close to the speedometer difference.
