You must take the starter off the bike. While you have the starter and the jackshaft out of the bike, you can install a new jackshaft seal in the inner primary cover.

Good Luck

Can I remove the automatic gearbox from my corolla 4AGE 20v Blacktop to change the crankshaft seal without removing the engine Thank you in advance

Any thing is possible if you have enough jacks and supports. Depending on which side your trans is on, lift the car, remove wheel, remove Axle, make sure to drain fluid before removing axle, may have to loosen strut assembly to remove axle. Once that's out of the way, proceed to remove the trans linkage and all the bolts from the trans housing, once all the bolts are removed, with a trans jack under the trans, proceed to wiggle the trans until it's loose and pulled back and out. So I'm guessing that the shaft seal is the rear engine seal?

you may have to break the adhesive seal around the flange . Rem,ember that you will also have to pull the drive shaft (axles) to the diff. To break the adhesive seal you may use a jack and lift a bit under the pinion flange while using something like a chisel to help break the seal

How to replace front differential seal on 2007 4.7 toyota tundra

This is not easy....You will need air tools ,spray penetrate, seal remover, hammer, and Jack stands..Seal installation tool,.All proper tools..safety glasses.correct seal replacement.,new lock nut...Set park brake, block rear wheels, raise vehicle front and safely place jack stands under each side of lower control arms..Spray lube front drive shaft mounting hardware and lock nut that holds Yoke on front diff..Let it set to penetrate..put vehicle in neutral..Mark shaft to yoke location and direction perfectly because it has to be installed in perfect timing exactly how it was removed..,Remove drive shaft..Remove lock nut and yoke from front diff...You will have to hold yoke while removing lock nut because it will spin..PROTECT HANDS..( These can be VERY DIFFICULT to remove..Sometimes they have to be heated..You will need a yoke removal tool if it doesn't tap off with hammer...Mark exactly the yoke to spline location before removal..You can take close up photos however Mark it also to be sure...If you re-install it wrong it will vibrate terribly..Once yoke is removed You can remove seal.Make sure the new seal is correct...CAREFULLY..DO NOT DAMAGE SPLINES WHILE REMOVING..Sometimes even the perfect seal remover will damage splines..So cover it to protect spline threads..Clean all areas once seal is removed..Make sure nothing is pitted or damaged...Install new seal with installation tool..Lightly,perfectly tap it flush with diff..You can use old seal to install new seal if you don't have installation tool But only a pro should do that...Once in place Line drive shaft yoke with your marks and tap it on ..Use NEW LOCKNUT AND TORQUE IT TO SPEC..Install drive shaft as marked..torque to spec..Lower truck and check fluid..Complete..

I ran over plastic and pulled it out I think I messed up a seal it silicone. This is at the end of the drive shaft

the photo is not real good but from what I can see the plastic is between the seal protector and the front of the diff housing. I would spend time carefully unwinding the plastic from around this area. jack up one side of the vehicle and place in neutral to allow the drive shaft to turn to achieve this end . With some luck the seal will not be damaged Make sure that the vehicle is properly chocked and supported before going underneath it . Do not rely on the jack for safety

Replace left front axle seal

First you'll have to remove the axle shaft, and here's detailed directions so use whatever info you need. First you'll need to jack up your vehicle place your jack just behind the front lower control arm mount. Take off your tire/wheel, remove the cotter pin and the axle nut retainer, remove the 2 caliper mounting bolts, move the caliper out of the way and support it so it doesn't just hang by the brake hose. Now, slide your rotor off, next you'll need to remove the axle nut and at 180ft lbs of torque you'll need a breaker bar or a heavy duty impact. The nut should be a 36mm if I remember correctly. Remove the bolts holding hub to steering knuckle, remove hub now you can tap it with a hammer to help loosen it from splines on axle shaft. take off the dust cover, pull the axle shaft out now, take out your bad oil seal, grease splines, then install new seal, carefully reinstall axle shaft to avoid damaging the seal, reverse steps and you're good to go. Good luck with your repair

Rear axle leaks, want to replace seal where drive shaft connects to axle.

A continental is a front wheel drive car since 89. You must mean a town car. The pinion shaft seal is tricky because of a bearing preload issue that can be catastrofic if you get it wrong. I would recomend seeking the skills of a pro.

Leaky front seal on tronsfer case

depending on if its is from the drive shaft or the main shaft either way you will have to do a bit of work if it is the driveshaft seal I believe you can remove shaft and change seal with case in truck but dont qoute me on that if not remove transfer case and at that point it is pretty much the same amount of work for the main or the driveshaft side. get yourself either a rented or borrowed tranny jack and drain fluid before removal make sure you have all little tubes and wires off before you try and wrestle it out have a friend around for saftey good luck be careful and hope this helps
