sounds like you need to replace the exhaust gaskets if you replaced the exhaust or even took it off to check. these metal gaskets crush when installed.

The fork oil is a very specific job needing a manual and a special tool, I don't want to insult anyones mechanical knowledge but if you have never done it before, best to take somewhere else. Engine oil on the other hand is easy, the drain tube to any softail is on the right side by where the frame meets the swing arm, has somekind of plug in it. Start and run bike for a little while, long enough to get it warm but not hot. Remove fill plug and then remove plug in drain line. Using a peice of cardboard or something put in between filter and frame , directing the oil to your drain pan instead of where ever it goes. Put 1 qt oil back in (after everything is reinstalled) start the bike and make sure the oil light goes out, when it does shut bike off and fill to the point that when it is standing upright you get a little oil on the tip of your finger, over filling may result in loss of oil cap from pressure (been there)

Stage 1, big sucker air filter and high flow slip on mufflers. Now the motor back fires through the exhaust when you let off the throttle

Hi, Mike timing on your bike is non-adjustable you may have an air leak in your exhaust system try using high temp silicone on your muffler joint if that does not help try installing some power cones at the front of the exhaust pipe and make sure your gasket and connection is tight for more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please visit the websites below, and for specific information or questions, please feel free to contact me at xlch@mail.com. Fitting exhaust

Most exhausts can be changed without altering the intake side. It is when you make changes to both intake and exhaust that settings need to change due to increased air flow.

I want to fit v&h short shots on my 2010 dyna wide glide, but the v&h have no place to fit the butterfly valve that is on my stock pipes? so just want to know what happens to this as i have seen alot of...

The butterfly valve is to "Tune" the exhaust, either for emissions or noise. When an exhaust company makes a pipe for a specific bike all of the original equipment is taken into account. If the pipe is made for your machine and year, then it will only fit the way it is designed. It will only work that way as well. If there is no place to fit the valve, then it isn't needed.

Loss of power on dyno on a 08" flhx

Check exhaust flapper on downpipe assy. Make sure it opens and closes when revving bike. This can be de-activated to improve acceleration. Also check flapper on airbox intake opening. This is a small flap that should move up when driving hard. It wears and sticks down impeding airflow. Assumes stock airbox and downpipes fitted. Also assumes no clutch slip etc.

Where is the connector for the battery tender on a Harley Davidson 03 Heritage

They don't come stock on the bike, so if there is one, it could be any place. When I installed these on new bikes, I always ran it to the right side and had it come out behind the oil tank. Easiest way to find out if your bike has one is to remove the seat and check the battery connections. If there are more than just the battery cables on the battery, follow the wires.
