Where are the seat hold down bolts, 1984 Honda Saber 700

I had the 84 vf700S Sabre, and I suspect it\'s similar. Removing the seat on mine was simple. Take your key, unlock the helmet lock on the LEFT side of the bike under the passenger space. Once unlocked, the metal is a lever that pushes away from the locking hinge of the helmet lock and it releases the "middle" of the seat. The front of the seat is a tongue that goes underneath the tank. Hope this helps.

How to remove seat on 1998 yamaha virago 1100?

Put the key in the seat lock (helmet lock). turn one way to open the helmet lock, turn the other to unlock the seat. Pull up on the seat at the same time. On old bikes, sometimes the cable that releases the seat (connected to the lock latch) gets stuck/rusted. Then you have to decide how important it is to remove the seat. Seat may have to be replaced if you cannot reach under to trip the latch or pull the cable with a hook or screwdriver (crochet hook sometimes works if long and sturdy - and you can pry the seat up enough to see what is going on down there).

Remove seat from yamaha yzf600 thundercat

To remove the seat use the key in the helmet lock. One direction, I think counter clockwise releases the helmet lock, pushing down on the back of the seat and turning clockwise releases the seat. The key hole is located by the left rear foot peg.

I need to find how to remove the seat from a 1984 suzuki cl 550 l motorcycle

I am not aware of the Suzuki model CL550L however a GL550L 1983-1986 has a key lock on both sides of the seat about halfway back at the base of the seat. The one on the left side is a combo helmet lock and seat lock. Turn it one way for helmet lock and the other for seat release. If the key will insert but not turn it is most likely not the right key. This is not uncommon on older models due to ignition switch replacement

Use your key on the helmet holder on your left side rear passenger footpeg. Turning the key one way, opens the helmet holder, turning it the other way unlocks your seat.

Where do I lock my helmet on this bike or is it missing the lock?

When you open your rider seat there should be a hook where you can pass your helmet straps and it will locked in when you close the seat.

Hi. Sorry but rho is wron on this one!
The lock you are using is just for the helmet lock. The seat lock is out of sight underneath the nearside rear coloured seat trim. The key is inserted pointing straight up!

Please!!! for the love of bikes!! how do i remove the seat

hi although i am not overly familiar with your model bike, most of the earlier katanas have a two way key on the helmet lock, turn it one way .helmet lock popps open, turn it the other way and seat catch will pop,if you look underneath the helmet lock you will see a cable running off the back of the lock which goes up to the seat catch, all of the gsxrs and katanas have the same sort of system,if the cable has stretched or the end has come off(common problem as this end is exposed to the weather)you can pull the cable with a pair of long nose pliers and the seat should pop open....hope this helps and gd luck..cheers ian

How do i remove the seat? honda 125 nsr 1991

place the ignition key in the helmet lock keyhole (rear left hand side of the seat) turn half a turn so that the helmet lock slides down (now you know where to leave your helmet when you have to leave it with the bike). BEHIND that hook (closest to the wheel side) is another one. That will now push down on a sprung return. The seat should pop up but if it's a bit snug then whilst pushing down on the catch (to keep it released) gently pull up the rear of the seat. Now the lock is disengaged slide it backwards 2 cms and all the other retainers will slide out. Hey presto seat and bike have now parted company. Good luck putting it back on it's harder to get all the slidy bits to re-engage (particularly the two in the middle that have to slide onto two "pegs").
