I have obtained a new motor for the rear passenger side wheel but am having trouble getting to the screws behind the rear wheel. How do I remove the wheel so that I can install the rear motor? thanks.. Nate

Most certainly there should be one. It should be in the same relative location as the one on the driver's side rear was (typically reversed due to being on the other side). What often happens is that over time, bleeder screws have a tendency to seize up and unless care is used to loosen them, they will shear off flush to the caliper/wheel cylinder. Inspect closely for this problem. If you have to replace the bleeder screw, chances are you will need to remove the caliper/wheel cylinder to drill out the old one, and hopefully, not damaging the threads, can install a new one. Many folks just get a new caliper/wheel cylinder and get on with the repair.

depending if its front or rear if its in the rear most likely the brake wheel cylinder , and your brakes is part of the traction control why its off, you should make sure brake fluid is full and get it fix

1. Remove the center caps from the rear wheels
2. use a 13mm wrench on each side and loosen the bolts
3. remove the rear wheels and axle
4. remove the red pin at the front of the dump bed
5. remove the two black pins at the rear of the dump bed
6. remove the dump bed
7. lift the green plastic cover off
8. remove the two screws that hold the gearbox and motor to the body
9. remove the gearbox and motor assembly
10. remove the two screws that hold the motor to the gearbox

Blower Motor Removal & Installation Front To Remove:
NOTE: The blower motor is positioned on the passenger side of the vehicle beneath the instrument panel, and can be removed from the vehicle without removing the HVAC housing.

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Negative battery cable
   • Passenger side cowl trim panel
   • Carpet to access the front upper screw that secures the air inlet housing
   • Recirculation door actuator
   • Recirculation door actuator wire lead from the routing clip located on the lower air inlet housing and position the wire lead aside
   • Blower motor wire lead connector from the blower motor resistor or power module, depending on application. Lower Air Inlet Housing
     
     
   • One screw (from the top) that secures the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing
   • Four screws (from the bottom) that secure the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing and remove the lower HVAC housing Blower Motor Wire Lead Grommet
     
     
3. Feed the rubber blower motor wire lead grommet through the opening in the lower air inlet housing.
4. Push the blower motor wire lead through the opening in the lower air inlet housing and remove the lower air inlet housing from the vehicle.
5. Place the recirculation-air door as needed to access and remove the three screws that secure the blower motor to the lower half of the HVAC housing.
6. Lightly bend the recirculation air door far enough down to remove the blower motor and wheel from the HVAC housing. Blower Motor Mounting Tabs
   
   
7. Remove the blower motor and wheel from the HVAC housing. Make a note of the location of the blower motor mounting tabs.

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Blower motor and wheel to the lower half of the HVAC housing and line up the blower motor mounting tabs to the correct location on the HVAC housing
   • Blower motor and wheel into the HVAC housing by lightly bending the recirculation-air door far enough down
   • Three screws that secure the blower motor to the HVAC housing by positioning the recirculation-air door as needed
     1. Torque to: 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm)
   • Blower motor wire lead through the opening in the lower air inlet housing and seat the rubber grommet into the lower air inlet housing
   • Recirculation-air door pivot into the lower air inlet housing
   • Four screws (from the bottom) that secure the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing and the lower HVAC housing
     1. Torque to: 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm)
   • One screw (from the top) that secures the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing
     1. Torque to: 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm)
   • Blower motor wire lead connector to the blower motor resistor or power module, depending on application
   • Recirculation door actuator wire lead into the routing clip located on the lower air inlet housing
   • Recirculation door actuator
   • Carpet
   • Passenger side cowl trim panel
   • Negative battery cable
2. Perform the heater-A/C control calibration procedure.

Rear To Remove:
NOTE: The rear blower motor and blower wheels are repaired only as a balanced unit. The entire blower motor and wheel assembly must be replaced if either component is fault or damaged.

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Front center floor console cover
   • Negative battery cable Rear Blower Motor Housing
     
     
   • Body wire harness connectors from the rear blower motor power module and the rear mode door actuator
   • Body wire harness bracket from the console support bracket
   • Eight screws and the two console support brackets from the floor console base and duct assembly
   • Four screws that secure the rear blower motor housing to the floor console base and duct assembly
   • Rear blower motor housing and place it on a bench
   • Rear blower motor wire harness connector from the power module
   • Eleven retaining clips and three screws that secure the housing together
   • Two halves of the housing
   • Blower motor wire harness and grommet from the housing and remove the blower motor

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Rear blower motor into the housing and install the blower motor wire harness and grommet
   • Two halves of the rear blower motor housing and install the eleven retaining clips and three screws
     1. Torque to: 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm)
   • Rear blower motor wire harness connector to the rear blower motor power module
   • Rear blower motor housing into the floor console
   • Four screws that secure the rear blower motor housing to the floor console base
     1. Torque to: 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm)
     2. Two console support brackets onto the floor console base
     3. Eight screws that secure the support brackets to the floor console base
        1. Torque to: 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm)
     4. Body wire harness bracket onto the console rear support bracket
     5. Body wire harness connectors to the rear blower motor power module and the rear mode door actuator
     6. Negative battery cable
     7. Front center floor console
2. Calibrate the A/C-heater control.

there is a door that directs cold or hot air behind the dashboard in order to make the passenger's side colder or hotter relative to the driver's side.
The a/c door servo may be bad, or the temperature settings for each zone are not balanced.
In-vehicle Temperature Sensor Removal & Installation

1. For the Five Hundred and Montego;
   • Lower the steering column to the full tilt-down position.
   • Remove the instrument cluster finish panel screws.
   • Release the locking tabs on the steering column upper shroud located behind the steering wheel.
   • Remove the instrument cluster finish panel and the steering column upper shroud as an assembly.
2. For the Freestyle;
   • Remove the lower steering column cover.
   • Remove the lower steering column shroud.
   • Disconnect the electrical connector from the in-vehicle temperature sensor.
3. Remove the in-vehicle temperature sensor.

To Install:

1. Reverse the removal procedure to install.

If you are removing the main blower motor at the passenger side of the cabin then you don't have to remove the dash. It's behind the lower dash trim panel and takes about an hour and a half to two hours to do. Not to bad a job but you will need to be a bit flexible to see under there.

If you don't have someone to help you you'll need to get a one man brake bleeding kit. The bleeding kit will take the place of the helper. IF you have a helper start with the rear passenger side wheel (furthest from master cylinder). Remove the wheel, have a helper sit in the vehicle and pump the brakes several times (motor off). Tell them to hold the pedal down while you open the bleeder screw. Tighten the bleeder screw before the helper releases the brake pedal to avoid sucking air back into the line. Repeat this process until the fluid flows out of the bleeder with no air. Then repeat these steps on each wheel. The order of bleeding is always furthest from the master cylinder. Rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, and lastly front driver. After each wheel is done check the fluid level in the master cylinder and add as necessary. You don't want it to get low and **** air in from the cylinder.

The motor is located behind the glove box on the passenger side under the dash, here is the change out procedure.

First, remove the glove box...easy three screws total. Two on the bottom, and one holding the shock on the right side. Second, remove the metal bar that is behind the glove box...four phillips screws. Third, remove the two bolts securing the dash on the right side. Fourth, remove the small RH kick plate...pull hard it has three clips. Fifth, remove the two screws on the bottom of the fan housing and remove the bottom diffuser...small plastic peice. Sixth, remove the front center metal clip and remove this small plastic piece. Seventh, pull the carpet back on the passenger side and remove the four nuts securing the computer to the floor board and swing it out to the left. Next, disconnect the neg terminal on the battery and remove the three plugs that were near the RH kick plate. Now comes the fun part. The dash will be hindering the removal of the blower motor housing. First, remove the metal band securing the blower motor housing and the heater core housing together. It's one 10mm bolt at the top. This band clips to another band securing the two housing together on the back side. You will also need to remove the two small phillips screws securing the rear band to the blower motor housing...one on the top and one on the bottom. The rear band gets in the way when removing the housing. So when the housing assembly drops remove the rear band from the top...set this part in first on installation. Last, remove the four 10mm nuts securing the blower motor housing to the firewall. The housing will not fall to the floor on its own. You will need to pull up and out on the bottom of the dash while guiding the housing assembly down and to the left. Be careful not to pull aggressively on the dash. It's sturdy, but will crack if you are too rough.
