The transmission drain plug is on the front of the oil pan on the bottom of the transmission. It's closest to the center.

You need to get under the car, identify the transmission oil pan and look for the drain plug:

Locate the filler plug - it will be on the side of the transmission, higher up. Use bottles with spouts to fill with the correct amount of transmission fluid .. or .. possible .. fill with fresh transmission fluid via the transmission dipstick.

Transmission drain plug 2008 jeep sahara

If you don't see a plug on the drain pan under the transmission then that means you will need to remove the screws around the pan on the bottom of the transmission to get the oil out. You will need to replace the gasket when you put the pan back on.

Need to know how to change tranny fluid in 2002 fatboy.

Since I don't work on the later model bikes, I'm not certain when Harley changed the location of the transmission drain plug. On your model, there should be a drain plug on the bottom of the transmission. If not, it's a small pipe plug located just below the chrome end cover of the transmission behind the exhaust pipes. The difficulty in getting to the plug when it's located on the side of the transmission is one of the reasons Harley moved the drain plug to the bottom of the transmission. Drain the oil and then remove the large plug from the chrome end cap on the right side of the transmission to refill it. The plug takes a large Hex key or Allen wrench to remove it, 3/8" on the earlier models. Fill the transmission with 20-24 ounces of transmission lubricant or H-D Syn3 20W50 synthetic engine oil.

Where is the location on a 1994 honda civic ex that i would fill the manual transmission with gear oil?

Hello,
Manual transmissions have a fill plug and a drain plug on the side of the transmission. The fill plug is a little above the drain plug. Pull the fill plug and fill the transmission until the transmission fluid just barely seeps out and re-plug the transmission. That is the proper way to fill it. You will need a long stem funnel to give you the room you need to fill it. Your transmission requires a 10W30 weight motor oil, just like your engine. If you have a little time and 3 or 4 quarts of oil laying around you can pull the fill plug first and THEN the drain plug and let all the oil drain out. Then plug the transmission and re-fill it with fresh oil and this is a transmission flush for your transmission. You just saved $70 shop charge doing this. I say pull the fill plug first and THEN the drain plug because the last thing you want to do is pull the drain plug first and then find out the fill plug has welded itself and won't come out and now you can't fill the transmission. Fill plug first always.
Regards, Tony

I need exact location of oil drain plug

the oil tank for the wide glide is on the bottom of the transmission. If you look under the transmission, you'll see two drain plugs. the one at the front left is the oil drain plug. The one closer to the center of the oil pan is the transmission drain plug.

Need to drain transmission where is the drain plug

there is no drain plug, in order to drain the trans u must drop the transmission pan off, this is a very messy job, use a plastic garbage can lid with holes drilled in it to catch the fluid place that over a large drain pan. When u refill the trans do not overfill it, if u deo u will run the risk of damage to the trans.
