Question about Buell X1 lightning Motorcycles
Most buell charging issues can be traced back to faulty voltage regulator and connections. The regulator is aluminum and has a screw for the ground on the back side. This can wear, causing intermitten charging issues.

Check your fuses, if they are good check your battery connections, are they good and tight? no corrosion? Charge the battery with the cables OFF OF THE BATTERY. Make sure it charges overnite. after it charges check to make sure the battery is still over 12volts. let it sit for a few hours and check it again to make sure it is STILL over 12volts and has not dropped at all. If it has replace the battery. anything further and you will need the Buell factory service manual - do a google search for it.
