You have either a bad needle and seat in the carb or a bad accellerator pump diaphragm in the float bowl. The carb needs to be disassembled and cleaned. Inspected for damaged or worn parts. This is a job best left to someone experienced in dealing with carburetors. If you wish to try to rebuild your own carb, I'd advise you to purchase a service manual. This job is far too complicated for me to guide you through the procedure via this forum.

Good Luck

How to locate the engine oil leak does the car need to be running

Usually you won't see a leak until the car is parked. It's a good idea to put a piece of cardboard under the car after it's been driven to detect the leak or leaks. If you see any drops or puddle on the cardboard, crawl underneath the car and lookup under the engine to see where the leak is coming from. Look at the area above the puddle or dripping.

Fuel needle leaking in the carb, remove the float bowl, check the float is moving freely, clean away any dirt, if no better replace the inlet needle.

Small steady water leak from the left rear side of the 1600CC engine, and this was after a new 'Head' was installed because of a broken 'timing belt'. Car is a 2000 Daewoo Lanos Coupe. All the hoses...

Might possibly be a leaking heater core or a freeze plug on the side of the engine. A small leak might be patched up with some radiator sealer but I would show the leak to the mechanic who repaired the cylinder head first. Hopefully he missed something minor and solve your problem with ease.

My car's fuel consuption has suddenly gone up, from 9-10km/L to hardly 6-7km/L. Engine type is 1G-FE. What are the possible solutions?

There is fuel leaking outside the engine. Possible areas are the tank itself, fuel lines and fittings, and the fuel filter. These usually cause puddling under the vehicle. However, if fuel is leaking onto hot exhaust system parts, it will vaporize and leave no puddle. Find and fix the leak.

There is fuel leaking inside the engine. This is usually from a fuel injector that is leaking fuel into one of the cylinders. The engine will run rich and burn extra fuel. The fuel leaking past the rings of the piston in the cylinder involved will contaminate the engine oil and give it a fuel odor. The contaminated oil will not lubricate the bearings properly and more engine troubles will develop. Find and replace the leaking injector.

Fuel may be being burned due to an unnecessary rich mixture caused by a malfunctioning oxygen sensor. Oxygen sensors are usually designed to fail to the rich mixture side. Failing to the lean side would cause engine damage. On the rich side, the engine is protected from damage although fuel mileage will suffer. You may see black smoke while accelerating and a sooty carbon buildup on the inside of the exhaust tailpipe. Test the oxygen sensor and if it fails, replace it.

Coolant leak top rear of engine near throttle body 1996 3.4 lumina vpv

Most of the time when I see coolant leaking at the rear/top of the 3400 engine, beneath the throttle plate area, it's usually coming from the intake gaskets. There is a coolant cross-over passage at the rear of both heads and as time passes the gasket will sometimes split along the sides of this passage and coolant will begin to leak out. It can be tough to see clearly whats going on in this area well enough to pinpoint the exact source of the leak so it may take a bit of time to find it. Often with an intake gasket leak the coolant will puddle on top of the block then drip down the rear side of the engine and drip off of the pan or transmission bell housing. Hope this helps you find your problem!

GSF 600 SV 97 fuel problem

If the bike will run with the choke on then you have a lean fuel/air mixture condition. Most common cause is a vacuum leak or faulty pitcock. Spray some carb cleaner around the carb mounts with engine at idle, if the rpms change there is your leak.
Your petcock should have two hoses attached to it. One hose is the main flow to the carbs. The other hose is/should be a vacuum hose that allows the gas to flow (when vacuum is applied). When your petcock is in the PRI position, this will bypass the vacuum hose. Leaving it in PRI when motor off could possibly flood the engine. Check to see if that vacuum hose is attached properly with no splits or cracks near both joints. If all is attached properly your problem is the petcock itself. It has a diaphragm and 'return' spring. Weak return spring, clogged petcock, damaged diaphragm can all cause your problem. Also, after you recleaned and inspected the carbs, were they synched... if not, this needs to be done.
Good luck...i hope this helps..please rate me a fixya.

Coolant fluid leaking below carberator 1989 dodge daytona

May not apply to yours, but I have seen coolant lines routed under intake (actually through plenum below carb)...the idea is to pre-heat and vaporize fuel to prevent "puddling" under carb. If you look at most v8 engines, exhaust is routed the same way, to do the same job. You may need to use a mirror to see under there to determine exactly what's going thats causing leak.

Fuel Leak

I wouldn't drive or start it with a fuel leak, it needs to be up on a lift to see it all clear, before any proper diagnosis.
