Hi ,

  1. carburetor must be cleaned as a black layered coating would be formed on that
  2. Adjust th Knob that is present right under the tank until the RPM i.e the reving of the bike should be as low as possible without turning of the bike
  3. Leave ur bike for service and as him to clean the air filter
  4. Don't raise ur bike too much as it spoils the tuning
  5. See to that u use unleaded petrol as petrol with adhesive spoils the performance . this specification is according to Honda Company .
  6. accelerate slowly as it leads to maximum fuel efficieny

Dear all, I also face the problem. But you should note that it is very difficult to adjust AFR manually. I have gone through almost 10 mechanics. No body has given solution. Most of the people told that it is becaz of valves. Finally in one HH authorized show room they have done AFR with tacho meter, That too when I approached second time . My problem got solved. Do remember ask them to set AFR ratio using tacho meter, making both screws initialize. My problem got solved now I am getting mileage more than 55. Previously it was 30kmpl only.

SOURCE: sir, I had purchase Hero

There are many factors in fuel economy when it comes to a small motorcycle. The biggest is riding style or habits followed closely by weight. Be this weight a single rider with gear, two riders with gear and high speed. If your motorcycle is in proper mechanical order it should produce close to what the dealer said. Test conditions and real life conditions are much different. If you test your motorcycle with you alone on it keeping the speed below 70kph and have the proper tire pressure operate the motorcycle conservatively you will see a huge increase in your KPL. Check your owners manual for the correct tire pressure and adjust your tire pressure accordingly. I suspect you are operating with lower pressure then what is specified. These are great looking small bikes with exceptional fuel economy treat it right and it will reward you, ride it hard and it'll cost you.

How to get better millage on activa 2011 model

In this article: Specifications of New Honda Activa says that the millage is about 52kmpl, but this data is without full throtle, stable velocity, no braking, under ideal conditions. Don't worry if you get millage between 40-47kmpl with normal conditions.
If you want to improve it, don´t do big brakes, work with the throtle slow, and try to keep the velocity in a reasonable range.

Eachyear i have a engine service soon light come on and each time i have had to have coil pack installed

THERE ARE A NUMBER OF COIL PACKS ON YOUR ENGINE ( DETERMINED BY HOW MANY CYLINDERS ) IT SERVES TO REASON IF THEY ALL WORK AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME AND HAVE THE SAME DUTY THEN WHEN 1 FAILS THE REMAINING ARE CLOSE TO FAIL ALSO. CHANGER ALL OF THEM WITH A MOTORCRAFT COIL.

How could i tune my carburetor and which engine oil is better for this bike. i get millage only 40kmp. it runs only 2000km. how can i improve millage and it speed.

lean out the carb, you do this by letting the engine idle and turning the air/fuel mixture screw until the engine starts revving up(without turning the throttle) when it revs as high as it will go by turning the air/fuel mixture screw, then lower the idle with the idle adjust knob. as for oil, most of the major companies make a 10w30 for motorcycles. if you can afford it royal purple for motorcycles is the best, but i use castrol 4t for motorcycles its a 10w30
