A 2004 RK with 8K on the clock shouldn't have anything wrong with it other than it may have been sitting for an extended period of time. In that case, the carb or the fuel injection system my need to be serviced with a thorough disassembly and cleaning. But, if the bike runs good at idle and highway speeds, I'd change the lubricatants and ride that bike. Something that it really needs.

Good Luck

Im looking at an '04 road king custom to buy. Quetion is, is the seat a two piece where it can become a solo seat?

Depends on the type of seat that is on it. I don't think the stock seats are two piece. But, there are seats available to convert it to a solo bike. Mustang is the best buy for the money in my book.

2005 FLHRS - FLHRSI Road King Custom: did the 05 road king classic come with or could be...

You could have the dealership install the 103 CI kit if you like but no it didnt come from the factory with that engine in it already, only the CVO bikes such as the FLHRSE and FLHRSEI came with the 103 CI motor installed from the factory.

2004 Road King Custom, sounds like and feels like no gas.

It most probably just needs a good ride to clean the cob-webs out. But, check your battery terminals to make sure they are clean, make sure your battery is fully charged. Then take it for a series of short runs so that if it ***** itself, you are not far from home. If it now starts to show signs of improvement, then get it out onto a freeway where you can idle along a 110 kph and it should come good. If there is no improvement, then get an auto-electrician or a bike mechanic to run a multi-meter over it to make sure that the electics are OK. Only then start looking at the carbys, it is rarely their problem.

Where is the oil dipstick on an 03 road king

The oil dipstick is located on the right side of bike almost directly under the football cover for the air cleaner. It's a round knob that pulls directly out (Kind of wiggle as you pull on it). Just check like a regular car dipstick pull, wipe and reinsert and then look at dipstick.

Speedo, turn signals, brake lights, horn stopped working. All else is fine.

Gap your plugs to 38 thou. Check all your bulbs (one burned out will affect the rest) Take a look at all your fuses and make sure they are all ok. Otherwise you are probably looking at a wiring short which will require trouble shooting of the elctrical system. Buy your self a service manual for your bike, this will help you a lot.
