My harley radio quicks when I go down the road it won't turn back on till it wants to could be days can have it on as long as I don't go down the road

Sounds like a loose connection somehere since it works ok when sitting still, only occurs when on the road, with all the bumps and viibrations associated with that. This will not be easy to find, and is most likely a loose ground wire somewhere. Is nothing else affected? Have someone ride with you and see if any of the lights are also going out or flashing intermittently when the radio shuts off.
Also, since it occurs when riding, there might be a thermal issue, as the engine heats up, causing a ground connection to work loose. Check for ground connections in the engine area.

My 2007 650 vstar died while riding it and would not turn over right away once it cooled down it started up and acted like nothing was wrong except for a back fire . Help

Hi, JoAnne and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
2. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Faulty main circuit breaker and or connections.
4. Faulty ignition coil and or connections.
5. Faulty spark plug, oil or gas fouled, wrong heat range or service type, wrong gap, loose in the cylinder head, broken electrode or insulator.
6. Faulty spark plug cables, leaking or broken, internal damage.
7. Faulty ignition module, switch, CKP, MAP, CMP, sensor and or any connector in the ignition circuit could have corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets
8. Burnt exhaust valve or air leak in the exhaust system.

I have NO POWER! When I turn the key to the on position nothing happens, no dash lights or anything. Checked the connections and nothing seems to be loose.

Check your battery is holding a charge. First remove it and charge off the bike at a "Trickle" charge for a bout 24 hours. then refit and try and start the bike, if it starts you need to check it is charging. The voltage when running (measured at the battery) should be in the region of 14 volts DC. If it lower than this you have a problem with the regulator, redctifier or alternator. In which case I would suggest you get an electrician to look at it to ascertain to faulty part.

I have a 883 harley davidson sporster, was riding the bike and road over a bump and bike shut down and won't start

I'd check the battery first. I've seen the post break loose from the batteries in many Sportsters and leave them dead on the road. I've only seen this happen once on a Big Twin. Why? I have no idea. If nothing on the bike works, this may be the problem. If everything else works but it just won't start, I need more information. Does the starter engage and the engine turn over?

Check the starter relay. Everything you're talking about gets it's power through there on the earlier bikes.

Riding along the road engine slowly came to a stop. wouldn't start again flat battery RAC man charged the battery bike started got a mile or so down the road we did this three time got home with out it...

I think you could have an intermitant open circuit inside your battery. One of the links joining the cells is loose and makes contact sometimes and not other times. Replacing the battery could fix the problem. There appears to be notthing amiss in your charging system.
