Sounds like you've got a bad front brake light switch. This little switch is inside the right handlebar switch housing. You can replace the switch by removing the throttle cables and taking the housing apart. Unless Harley has changed something, the switch is not difficult to change but the old wires have to be resoldered onto the new switch.

Good luck
Steve

Brake light will not come on on foot pedal on 2008 ultra classic where is switch

Hi Anonymous, always check bulbs and fuses first, then follow the rear brake line from the rear brake master cylinder towards the rear brake caliper when you come to the metal tee you found out where the rear brake light switch lives. Use a test light to check for continuity. Good luck

Brake lights stay on on 2007 ultra classic. Tail light and tour pack

The most likely cause is a stuck brake switch, probably the foot brake switch. Remove the switches and exercise them then refit. Should fix it or tell you which one has failed.

Rear brake light will not work when brake pedal is applied, both front and rear brakes run through same sensor front brake applies rear light, but rear brake pedal doesnt. where is the problem?

It sounds like the rear brake pressure switch is bad. The wires for the front brake light switch are wired in parallel to the this switch. Replace the pressure switch in the metal brake line coming from the rear brake master cylinder going to the rear brake caliper.

Good Luck

Have tail light working but brake light does not come on, top lever or foot pedal?

Starting at the rear brake master cylinder, follow the metal line back towards the rear caliper. you will find a brake pressure switch in the line somewhere. Make sure all connections to this switch are secure.

If so, check the rear bulb for a blown filament. It has two filaments, one for the tail light and one for the brake light.

2007 chevy brake lights dont work but the center one does

Try looking under the dash, on the brake pedal arm there will be a switch, this is your brake light switch, verify power to it, then apply brake pedal and verify power is coming out.
