Drain the engine oil and the transmission oil. Remove all the bolts and lower the pan. No problem.

Looking for location of engine oil drain plug on 1996 Harley electra glide classic

The engine oil drain is on the bottom of the transmission. The engine oil pan is on the bottom of the transmission. The oil drain is usually the drain plug closest to the left front of the pan.

Good Luck

I need to know where the oil drain plug is on a 1999 FLH Ultra Classic Electra Glide Harley Davidson

The oil pan is on the bottom of the transmission. Look under the transmission and you'll see two drain plugs. The one closest to the front left corner is the engine oil drain. The one closest to the center is the transmission drain.

Good Luck

I have a 2000 Electra Glide that leaks oil where the cases are joined. Anyone else have this issue? Worth repairing?

Hi Goulets, if it's leaking from the case seams aside from splitting the cases and resealing them is to check the torque on the case bolts 1/4" bolts/nuts 10 ft lbs. 5/16" bolts/nuts 20 ft lbs. for all other leaks the usual suspects are:
1. Loose parts.
2. Imperfect seal at gaskets, push rod covers, washers ect.
3. Restricted oil return line to oil tank/pan.
4. Restricted breather hose to air cleaner.
5. Restricted oil filter.
6. Oil tank/pan overfilled.
7. Bottom rocker housing gasket installed upside down.
Good luck and have nice day.

Oil change 1999H D Electra glide

The plug ( 3/4 wrench ) under the trans when your looking at the trans cover ( right side of the bike ) is the trans. If you drained that replace it with 24 oz. of either HD trans fluid or I prefer Golden Spectro 75/140 ( much better shifting on a Harley ( trust me you'll never go back to HD trans fluid ) the drain for your motor oils is on the same pan ( on the bottom ) but it's the plug facing the front of the bike. Looks just like the trans plug. Both use a 11105 o ring which you should replace everytime ( just for piece of mind as well as leaks ) you need 4 quarts of 20/59 HD oil. Hope it helps.

Where is the oil pan plug located on a 1999 Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide?

No oil pan plug, it is a sump system. Just find the oil tank, drain it, change the filter.
